New Burns ad lies about Jon Tester, Act Blue, and DKos!
You can see this ad here. It's the usual lying scare tactics used by losing candidates like Burns, but what struck me, the BIG lie is this:

And took nearly $100,000 from a group that mocked American deaths.

www.dailykos.com

www.actblue.com

I can't find any link where DKos has donated any money directly to Tester. ActBlue has only raised $9,313 for Tester. Nothing close to $100,000 (maybe they misplaced the decimal point?).

But ya, THAT BIG PART OF THE BIG LIE: a group that mocked American deaths.

Has Kos done this? Has Act Blue? If Kos hasn't already, he needs to get on the phone with his lawyer and sue the living shit out of Conrad Burns. Same with Act Blue.

I can't fucking believe this shit! The Montana Broadcasters Association refused a DNC ad that said "piss poor" and "goddamned" (directly quoting Burns), but allows total fabrications?

WTF!

1. .
These are pretty cheap accusations as expected from the Repubs and I hope that the voters in Montana realize that.
However, I am very confident that Tester will win this race.

2. I just sent an email to Kos
(it took me forever to find their "contact us" link). Hopefully this will end very badly for ol' Con-man.

3. The republicans will do or say anything to retain power
To me, that seems to be the thread that runs through all of their current scandals.

4. Well said, Randy
I feel this is one of those (to paraphrase Princess Leia), "The more you tighten your grip, the more (voters) slip through your fingers" kinds of moments.

6. Just to explain the reference about The Daily Kos....
...Kos wrote after four contractors were killed in Iraq in 2004:

http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:QxVzNabNxmsJ:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daily_Kos+kos+contractors+post&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=30

Let the people see what war is like. This isn’t an Xbox game. There are real repercussions to Bush’s folly. That said, I feel nothing over the death of merceneries. They aren’t in Iraq because of orders, or because they are there trying to help the people make Iraq a better place. They are there to wage war for profit. Screw them.

The right-wing quotes the "Screw them" repeatedly.

7. The Act Blue page of "The Daily Kos"...
...(which is also the Act Blue page of "MyDD" & "Swing State Project") has raised $119,265.79 so far for Jon Tester.

http://actblue.com/page/netrootscandidates

These are contributions from individuals who chose to give to Jon Tester via that page, similarly to if they had gone to Jon Tester's website to give.

The Daily Kos doesn't directly give to candidates. Act Blue passes on what indivuals chose to give.
