New Newsweek Poll: Repugs in meltdown
Edited on Sat Oct-07-06 03:34 PM by leftyladyfrommo
from www.hinessight.com

53% want Democratic control of Congress

33% Bush's new approval rating

67% Not satisfied with the direction the country is going

52% Believe Hastert knew what was going on and covered it up.

I am finding it really difficult to believe that the Republicans are just in a meltdown. It is just too good to be true.

2. Can you imagine what those numbers would be
if the media really was fair and balanced?
There's still too many people who think that Saddam was behind 9/11
and all the other lies.

7. What's astonishing is how little effort it requires to see the
contradictions in Hastert's statements, referencing other info, while still maintaining a 48% "not guilty" vedict. I hope at this point he doesn't resign for two to four more weeks
