Democrats gain at least 20 in House, 6 in Senate

UDPATE: The owner of Election Predictions is in need of donations to keep the site running. If you haven't donated already, please do so!

According to http://electionprediction.us . Even DC Political Report ( www.dcpoliticalreport.com ) now predicts the Democrats gaining 22 seats. ReTHUG biased Election Projection has Dems gaining 14, one short of majority.

2. We need 15 for the House so 20 would give it to us.

3. Money is on "one short of a majority" in both houses.
They don't need to steal it all. They only need to hang on. They can easily fake a couple "tight" races that were just "too close to call" and make it all work out. Far less obvious than trying to claim a sweep when your party is polling at sub-30%. Not that they probably won't still try, but my bet is we win several key races, just enough to allow the Corporate News Networks to comment on how upset the electorate is, and how all the losses send a message to Washington, blah blah blah...but gosh all might, by golly, will you look at that...dems were SO close, if they'd just gotten one more victory!

Count on it. These GOP fuckers have no intention of handing over power.

5. I am hearing only disgust about the governing by the GOP
Afghanistan is a mess; Iraq is a mess; the economy is good only for the wealthy; and now the morality issue with Foley and the GOP leadership.

6. Am I reading this right?
Is the prediction for the senate here a tie, with Bernie Sanders and Joe Lieberman as "independents"?

Egad. We think Lieberman is insufferable now. Wait until he's the *one* vote everyone needs.

THAT'S scary.

10. Lieberman, even if he wins, never makes it to the senate...
on november 10th, he gets appointed Sec'y of Defense, allowing CT Governor Jodi Rell to appoint a republican to fill the seat.

regardless of what he says, Lieberman won't caucus with dems. we need to make a possible lieberman victory irrelevant

12. eh ...
IF he wins, he has 6 years as a senator locked up ... IF they were to appoint him secretary of defense, he would have two years of job security, then be left hanging ...

I repeat ... Only Bushco is whoring to him, not the senate republicans ... He will NOT lose seniority with the dems to turn around and have to go back to the end of the line with repugs - and there will NOT be enough repugs who step aside to let him be where he would want to be with the Rs ...
