Woodward's book: to read it or not?
I'd like to ask everyone who might have read the new Woodward book, or at least a part of it: as a very informed DUer--would I be reading anything new? Or is it just a very nicely compiled hit on *, but stuff I've seen on DU or in Woodward's latest interviews? After all, $18.00 is $18.00. But I'm tempted. ;)

1. Yes, it shows the arrogance and stubborness of W to change
any failed policies regardless of advice.

4. Ha--yes maybe I will--but after the election...
I wouldn't want to deprive my Repub neighbors from reading a library copy before the election amd letting their eyes open for once. (I live in Sensenbrenner's red district).

3. Get last weeks Newsweek
They have a 3 or 4 page excerpt. The arrogance of both Bush and Rummy is stunning.

I suspect you've heard the newsworthy parts, and Woodward's writing style is VERY tedious. But perhaps you should encourage your freeper relatives, if any, to read it. ;)

7. Agreed
I think we have heard the newsworthy parts already and frankly I am more than fatigued with the book after book after book telling us they are a bunch of "Dumb Bunnies". I have read a few and they just make depressed.

8. After what he wrote in Bush at War
Edited on Mon Oct-09-06 06:36 AM by depakid
and his deplorable behvior in the Plame case, I think it's pretty clear that the man's lost all credibility as a writer or a journalist.

9. I'm reading it now.
Just started yesterday - up to page 160 or so.

Read it - it's worth the money.
