Bush side-stepped whacking North Korean hornets nest in press conference
Said that testing nukes won't lead to a brighter future for the oppressed and impoverished people of North Korea, then crawled off to enjoy his ham and eggs. What a LEADER. The whole thing lasted two minutes and he appeared to be heavily sedated, hung over, or both.

1. So. He didn't even slap N. Korea's wrist?
But he's planning to bomb Iran for even thinking about nukes?

Oh, that won't go over well.

7. He gave it a little tiny itsy bitsy baby slap...
...before retreating behind a discussion of how we're still committed to diplomacy and those freedom-lovin' Iraqi...er, I mean, North Korean...people.

The centerpiece of his drive-by was the bit about nuke testing not resulting in joy for the freedom-lovin' poor folks in North Korea.

Like he GIVES a rat's ass. He may be crazy, but he knows that Kim Jong Il is crazier.

6. Send In The D-Team
Pelosi, Reid, and Ms. Clinton could be under the fence and in Pyongyang in a matter of hours - could take out Kim with their bare hnds, be back in DC for a nice Pina Colada by dinnertime.

8. Or at minimum...
...they could show up at the press conference with a blood alcohol level within legal driving limits. That would be a start.

9. Very bizarre delivery style by Bush
Edited on Mon Oct-09-06 09:22 AM by Divernan
Correct me if I misheard any of this, but it seemed to me:
(1) he started right into the body of his speech, as he entered the room, before he even reached the podium;
(2) he did not start his speech with a standard greeting, i.e., Good morning.
(3) he did not use his standard ending, God Bless America.
(4) he practically bolted from the room as he finished his last sentence

Now this is the first time I've listened to him speak in probably four years - I can't stand his voice or face, so just have always read what he had to say.

10. I missed the very beginning, but you're on target with the rest...

11. Mr. ONTIME was over FIFTEEN minutes late.
What was with him? He was having a difficult time reading his prepared words. He could not pronounce "peninsula." That word isn't that difficult.

He said that we still have to determine if the test was really done. The world knows there was a test but Mr. Axis doesn't know? Whazzup with that?

He darted out of the room with Condoho following her "husband" closely flipping her hair. That was hysterical.
