Military pay raise lowest in 12 years (except for the Generals)
In January military personnel will receive a 2.2% payraise, the lowest military payraise in 12 years (supporting the troops??). However, all of the four star and three star Generals and Admirals (a total of 161 Officers) will get an 8.7% pay raise. No doubt the troops can feel the love from Washington.

Anyone remotely connected to PNAC should be hung by the neck until dead.

3. Any links?
I'd like to prove it to some conservatives who will claim it can't be true.

Very good site for military news.

Thanks for asking, print it out and poke them in the eye with it.

6. interesting. 12 years ago was 1994.

the year the rethugs took control of congress. it makes you
wonder why the military seems to vote for the bastards . . . .

9. to be honest
The 1994 pay raise was written in 1993, just like the 2007 pay raise has been written in 2006. Therefore, it was before the republicans took control of the house. However, the outgoing Bush41 administration had alot to do with that defense authorization bill.

Most people don't realize, but they are also doing a targeted pay raise for E-5s to E-7s on Apirl 1st, thought it hasn't been finalized yet. (I'm an E-5)

7. An E-1 gets a monthly raise of $28.02, a 4 star general gets $1235
Hey, they are only getting 44 times as much, what's the big deal? :sarcasm:
