NYT says that Foley will help GOP
Especially Allen.

The Republicans are so far ahead in everything in Georgia that they don't need help.

Our polls show that two Democratic seat are in danger (not being lost yet) and no Republicans are.

Here's the link to the Times article:

1. And I am convinced they will steal seats not being noticed in states they
have near supreme control over the vote count process, like SC and Texas. They can keep just enough to STOP a turnover to Dems.

2. That's the opinion of the repubs and evangicals they interviewed
not the NYT per se

4. WTF?
>>there is a bigger moral issue which I would say is the prism I view this through: I do not believe in homosexuality<<

Well, I am the missing link here, the proof that homosexuality DOES exist. :D

5. It's called hypocrisy...
If someone on our side does it well...we will figure out some lame rationale not to blame the folks covering it up...

When it is the other side...it's all about a culture of permissivenss and we need to sweep them out...

Hypocrites, hypocrites all....

And if they think this scandal is not going to hurt Republican candidates...they are whistling past the graveyard...

6. My GOP neighbor says the important Foley issue is this -
What did the Democrats and when did they know it?

Then, why did they waiat until a month before the election to release the information?

Funny, I though the important issue was - why was he allowed to continue this predcatory behavior for so long?

8. Per ABC/Ross, a rethug spilled the beans, not a Dem. You
might want to enlighten your neighbor, if that's even possible.:banghead:

9. Both parties have something to hide here
Otherwise why all the parsing?

Business as usual. Repugs remain repugnant; Dems remain unable to avoid overplaying an already-strong hand.

Peace.

10. People who are completely blinded...
By their hatred for anything Democratic will excuse nearly any behavior in order to defeat them...

Sad, pathetic people if you ask me!

7. They always bring out the most ignorant rubes in the state
to show Allen will win in Virginia. They should go to the vast majority of the people, who live in suburban or small town areas where I am sure Webb will win. Not to mention the larger cities. Not everyone in Virginia is an evangelist.

Point on Virginia:

This state elected a black Democrat for governor in the 1980s,

This state currently has a Democrat for governor who does not favor the death penalty but enforces it reluctantly,

The most populous areas of the state are the most blue, in Northern Virginia.

11. where does the article say foley will help the GOP and Allen?
It says that evangelicals aren't holding the party responsible and that it wouldn't affect their vote. That's not exactly the same as "helping" the GOP and Allen.

12. Yep, I'm not all that concerned, either
I hope the VA Dems keep pushing, but Macacawitz's latest mess, failing to note some stocks on his disclosure form is another gift to keep on giving...!
