The War in Iraq has been a hot topic for a while. People generally feel we should get out as soon as possible because we cannot achieve much more good in this farce of a war. People generally feel that the Democratic party is stronger on national security than the incompetent Republicans. Polls are showing that most people are un-happy with the economy. People think that Congress is doing an awful job. The sentiments are a little better for Bush but he has been in the doldrums for a while. Most Republicans do not hold the same sentiments on the above issues. It is generally the Democrats & independents who agree on those.

But nothing gets the Republican faithful more awake than a sex scandal. All along this country has been going down the drain. The economy, war, constitutional rights being infringed, security crisis etc. But they will only change their minds based on a sex scandal. Don't get me wrong I believe we need to protect the under aged Page's from sexual predators. Are these people stupid or what. Is that all they have on their minds sex & gays. Is their anything else they consider important. With the Foley scandal still building even the old faithful Washington Post is calling for heads to turn.

I think it is time we went to the polls in bigger numbers than ever. Every person is entitled to a vote. I believe strongly in that philosophy. But imagine what a say the Democratic party will have if all registered Democratic party voters turn out. We will have a landslide. It will silence these idiots whose only concern is men keeping their pants on.

The pugs have been itching for an excuse to kick the GOP bums out, but the could not do it without admitting they were wrong on Iraq, wrong on the economy, wrong on national security, wrong, wrong, wrong....

To the Moran Majority, this is a Godsend; a reason to kick the GOP out without admitting they were wrong on fundamental principles.

Now they can claim they are not abandoning their philosophy. On the contrary, they are throwing the GOP out precisely because the GOP betrayed that philosophy.

Now they can vote against the GOP and continue to be right wing freeptards.

Natural human sexuality and FRIENDSHIP,closeness ,un shameful proximity to others has been banned or distorted socially. Sex and love have become messed up and both suffer.
For instance so many guys are scared to death to show affection to another guy other without the other assuming sex,same with women and men,and women and women..Every expression of affection it is assumed sex. This is NOT SO..

NON SEXUAL Touching,as an expression of kind emotion in the heart twords someone,love in the real sense is all but disappeared in this culture.Who has a friend they uninhibitedly just lie together with,snuggle next to,talking ,just to be close,to feel that skin to skin contact and sex never occurs?

Sex because friendship touch is verboten,has been sublimated into lust. When desire is denied,and abuse happens to children, their minds"crystallize" a moment,and their sex is further sublimated into fetishes,crass,and made into a power game.

It's tragic what cultural conditioning had done to us.

Friendship and simple affection has been tabooed and forced to be sexualized .Sex has lost it's capacity of love,yet people still crave the human touch and when they are too afraid to love like a Friend,they seek sex like an addict.. and when sex is denied them out of fear,taboo or repression by religion it gets perverted into power without love.

Our culture is SICK, It encourages us from childhood to repress affection and expressions of non sexual love. Republicans religious family values freaks they repress even more.. This repression of expressions of non sexual love,or the want of affection ,or skin contact into sex,..sex repressed turns into a person falling in love with photographs of other people having sex,while they neglect their partner,or a vicarious fetish of famous people'lives..or shoes,drugs, or feet..

A person can be healthy without sex on the brain all day, IF they have affection in their lives, skin to skin contact,friendships capable of expressing tenderness and love in their lives without shame or guilt or fear or sexual lust interfering with the non sexual intent to simply be close to another human being and share affection.

(Friends can hold cry with and hug without shame or sexual pressures interfering if they are aware of how love and sex have been distorted by our power mad,repressive,competitive, militaristic, controlling soul crushing culture.. it is threatening at first,but it becomes liberating feels safe,like nothing else, like a haven from this crazy world,from sex and from the social pressures, and it deepens the emotional depth and honesty in the friendship itself.)

Sexual lust has it's own "laws"..distinct from affection and Friend-love.But we have distorted both love and sex and we as a culture continually confuse them.
Friendship and simple affection,that need for skin to skin touch that is with us from the days of babyhood(babies die without holding and touch adults can die from lack of love and connection to others too,what do you think suicide is ) Friendship and affection needs an outlet too.. and friendship affection it has been FORCED into sex in our culture.
