Andrew Hurst (VA-11)endorsed by Sen. Edwards and Gov. Kaine
Andrew is running for Congress in VA-11 (Northern Virginia) against Tom Davis, one of the more ethically challenged republicans. The Political Junkie friendly soap opera continues at Andy's site and blog:

And a fantastic blog posted at Raising Kaine:

6. He has severe ethics problems...
mainly due to his cozy relationship with defense contracters. Rumor is he will run for Senate when one of those seats becomes vacated. His wife, who is a state delegate, supposedly will then run for his seat.

3. great news. Was involved in a fundraiser for andy last weekend
Andy himself would admit that when he first threw his hat in the ring, he didn't think he had a chance of winning...that he was hoping to push Tom Davis to actually be the moderate that he claims to be (but isn't, at least not any more).

But Andy has worked his butt off and its paying dividends big time. He has a shot at this...a lot of Democrats who used to say that Davis was the only repub they'd ever voted for are fed up, both with Davis and with the repub party and they are coming out strong for Andy I believe. TIm Kaine captured the 11th District by 13 percentage points last year, which is a really positive sign.

8. What are the polls saying?..
This really amazes me, although Ken Long gave him a decent fight last time. It was a tough choice between the two, but in the end I thought Andy had the better chance to beat Davis, because of his ability to raise money, so I voted for him in the primary. I'm very impressed by him and his campaign, I think even if he loses this, he will be back.
