First question to Burns about Iraq. How long before it's over?

"We must win" and "support the troops".


In other words, a debate response full of slogans!

"War in Iraq is NOT the War on Terror.

Osama Bin still on the loose.

Spending 7 billion a week, soldiers getting killed. Bring the troops home ASAP!

I think it's critically important that we concentrate on the War on Terror."

2. Tax cuts question--

Tester - Those tax cuts were aimed at the wrong people. Need to focus on the middle class.

Burns - Tax cuts are always good to spur the economy. It's good for the economy. more slogans.
Mr. Tester is a taxer, period....and he strives on that!


Tester - Burns is for the flat tax...and wants to increase everything we buy by a 23 percent flat tax.

5. Health Care.....why you don't want us to have the same health care

senate gets.

Burns: You guys pay for it.....(vague, can't recall what he said!)-- We almost passed where y'all can join a larger pool...but it didn't pass.

Tester: It's time we realize we have a health care problem, because it unaffordable for many people. That's not right. We need to work together to fix this.

Burns: I don't support a 23% sales tax.

7. Burns: Tester's voting record is just "bad"......on energy

How can you call yourself a conservative when you spend money like it's going out of style? Isn't that hypocracy?

Burns: Sure there are earmarks.....not gonna get into that Goobly goog, inside baseball and all of that--But we earmark and try to get our share of money to the state of Montana. ( :wtf:)


Tester: Mr. Burns is spending our kids money - Earmarks for Michigan supported by Sen. Burns, when we needed them here. (told he's out of time....without breaking, he says..."no I'm not"...the announcer than apologizes)

Burns: (gets confused) and says something that doesn't make sense.

And, frankly, it is a legitimate beef. Too bad.
