So if between junkets and glad handing and checks made out to "money for nothing", in the dim and farther reaches of your pale imagination you ever considered...well-not power, it was just a weak nightmare of losing an election-a casting out to be counterbalanced by a lobbying gig that actually PAID better but with weaker perks and kissing up to old acquaintances.But now your brothers in power begin to fall-and not to elections-that nightmare is weeks away and the warnings are dire-but to the fruits of your labor...Cunningham was one of you.He doesn't get a walk away...Fund raisers from Ohio-no easy pass...Foley-loss of seat and probable charges....Do you smell it yet??? The scent of mint in the air??? Indictment and impeachment...from what you did,you don't pass go and you don't collect $200...instead it's going to be years of hearings, and indictments and trials....financial ruin-whatever you stole will never cover the type of legal bills that provide a defense good enough to get you out in your dodder age of your natural lifetime...you,and each of you are toast-about to pass from the body politic like the pus of an infected anal cyst,and for what you did it is scarcely enough....in our system 537 people get to rise to your heights-435 representatives, 100 senators, the president and the vice president....you alone among 300 million people were given this trust on your promise of honor.There IS a 10th circle of Hell-Welcome to it, Maggots...

Those that have benefited and padded their larder via corruption, lies, cronyism and betraying public trust will walk away scott free withy barely a ripple in their conscience. The worst they'll suffer is being out of power. For the power-addicted, spoiled stupids this may be the worst part.
