What's the REAL scoop on Harry Reid |
|
I've been hearing nasty comparisons of Reid to the likes of Cunningham, Ney and Jefferson today on MSNBC yet............ I read the allegations against him and the land deal were totally bogus on Daily KOS.
But when I just went back to recheck the article is gone. And I just sent a nasty email to Whora O'Donnell shaming her for lying.
I hope I didn't stick my email foot in my mouth?
Would appreciate any help on the truth. I've scanned and found NADA!
Thanks

1. Drudge was trying to float this the other day |
|
You could check his archives.
In a nutshell, it sounds like they're pulling out the old "shady real estate deal" nonsense that they tried on the Clintons.

And watch my computer explode?????
LOL
Was hoping someone had a link from here or another more LEFT leaning website with the real facts. Thanks! I didn't realize it was already old news? Whora O'Donnel sure seemed to get some sick glee out of adding his name in the mix with the other criminal elements of the RIGHT (aside from Jefferson) whom I'm not convinced wasn't duped or set up.

15. I am going to read that book about Martha Gelhorn. |
|
Just because of your sig line. I wanted to tell you that! Every time I read it, I love it anew! I was lecturing a young would be freeper yesterday, the pool dude & it developed he was parroting his Brother's viewpoints and he had misinformation from that POS ABC mockumentary as well! Well, after various & sundry debunking exercises & slapping him around with the Chicken voting for Col. Sanders line, we got around to just what they did plan to do being of prime draftable age.
When I asked him how he voted and he replied they both didn't, the last time, I bludgeoned him with that fabulous quote-Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I'm glad you like it and can use it. I haven't read that book yet, but you aren't the first DUer who encouraged me to do so. It is a great quote and just how I feel. :hi:

7. The real scoop is this: they dug hard and the most Repugs could find... |
|
...to try to stave off damage from Le Cage Aux Foley is an innocuous accounting blunder.
And they have the gall to accuse Dems of bringing stuff up "just in time for the election." This is a total non-story... it's bullshit that the media even bothered to run with it.

10. Another John Solomon hit piece |
|
And it has all the credibility of his earlier hatchet job on Reid in regard to complementary boxing match tickets and trying to tie Reid to Jack Abramoff. Which is to say, none.
Odd, innit, how the media will swallow Solomon's mud hook, line and stinker even with his proven record of getting things wrong; but they can't seem to figure out if Frist's personal management of his allegedly "blind" trust is improper or not.

12. It is bogus. There is no there there |
|
He listed the land as his property all along.
At one point he switched the property into an LLC (Limited- Liability Corp). His interest in the land did not change,so he continued to show that he owned the property. The entire "controversy" is whether he should have disclosed that he changed form owning it in his own name to showing he owned it through the corp.
This one reporter is constantly fishing for something to criticize Reid over.
It is the same reporter who claimed Reid was connected to Abramoff without reporting that Reid had consistently voted against Abramoff's position.

|
ummm...
More proof Republicans can't add, subtract, multiply, or recognize corporations by their initials (LLC) Reid sure got them on that one! They are so desperate they'll jump on any little pimple thinking it will explode and get all over us. It just gets all over them.

21. Tempest, meet teapot. IMO, there is no there there. He transferred |
|
some land from his name to a company he owned with some other guy. Later he sold the land and made money on it. He should probably have spelled out the details on the financial disclosure form but as far as I can tell, this transaction did not have any bearing on how much money he made. So where is the beef?
