Great letters in my local paper today |
|
Each week, The Salem News asks a "Question of the week" in Saturday's paper. Last week, the question, for publication this week, was: Where is Bush most vulnerable, if he is vulnerable at all"?
My favorite line, from one of the letters was: "All John Kerry has to do is put up a split screen with the 'toy soldier' in his flight suit on one side, and him in the jungle in Viet Nam on the other with the caption: 'We thought he was in Alabama'. That could be the wohe campaign."
www.salemnews.com -go to the opinion page, then click on the question caption.

1. That's a great set of letters. |

Bush is toast. Barring the suspension of the election, I smell a landslide. Even a terrorist act won't save his sorry ass. Rather, it would be the final nail in his coffin.
The question that remains is what kind of balls will our next president have? Will he appoint a truely non-partisan commission (enough of the partisan or even bi-partisan commissions) to flush out the facts on Bush's actions during office? And if warranted, will he direct his AG to arrest him, file charges, and try him?
