I'm trying to think like an intellectually challenged "conservative."

God that hurts my head.

1. Well, that is correct.
If the temperature on Christmas Day is not at least 70 degrees (in the Northeast), that proves there is no such thing as global warming!:eyes:

3. Obviously anyone who uses today's snowstorm in the Buffalo area
as a proof of no global warming knows absolutely nothing about "lake effect snow" from the Great Lakes. But as you said Bosshog, they are "intellectually challenged" conservatives...

18. To be quite honest, I was kinda mad the Bears lost the shutout...
The Bears are playing very good football right now. Hopefully, it'll stay that way. It's nice to look forward to watching them play after years of just "hoping" for the best.

4. Look, I'm sorry...MY WIFE CAUSED GLOBAL WARMING!
You know it's true...if you wash your car, it will rain the next day.

We moved out of our old neighborhood, and the next year they completely renovated the neighborhood school.

Etc, etc.

So, last year, after four year of being left alone almost every winter weekend, my wife decided it was time to take up skiing. So obviously, it will never, ever snow again in the Northeast.

8. First mistake: Trying to think like them.
It's a zen-like state of total disconnect with reality that you must cultivate, grasshopper. Embrace the delusion.

9. Go to the light! Go to the light and you'll find your way back!
Keep the "go to the light" mantra in the back of your head when you go thinking like a freeper. It might save your sanity. ;)

12. Actually, the reason they got so much snow is because Lake Erie
is still quite warm...59degrees. That allowed the cold winds passing over to pick up more water vapor.

btw, once Lake Erie freezes over for the winter, Lake Effect snow doesn't happen there.

13. The same holds true for Western Michigan and Northern Indiana
in regard to Lake Michigan. Only problem is that Lake Michigan very rarely freezes completely over.

14. Exactly the opposite, according to some weather experts.
Edited on Fri Oct-13-06 03:30 PM by tinfoilinfor2005
Climate change will be more frequent as global warming increases, including blizzards, hurricanes and droughts.

I grew up in southern Michigan and very seldom saw snow before January. Snow on Christmas was greatly hoped for but usually it was just cold and dreary. My kids tell me that this has changed and now it always snows in December. But mid-Oct.? Unheard of.

On edit:

This from Green Facts:

"Blizzards and snow storms may actually increase in intensity and frequency in some colder locations as atmospheric moisture increases. In more temperate latitudes, snowstorms are likely to decrease in frequency, but their intensity may actually increase, as the world warms. Observations show that snowfall has increased in the high latitudes of North America, but snow accumulations have melted faster because of more frequent and earlier thaws."
