I just saw who MSNBC considers front runners for 2008
They flashed across the screen: Clinton, Bayh, Richardson, and Edwards. Doesn't seem like a great field, and I know there are more than these 4.(I like Clark pesonally). Of those 4 thought who REALISTICALLY has the best chance, despite who you want and why?

3. Whichever one dominates the early part of the series of debates.
And I don't see anyone in that list who will be able to accomplish that task, but if I had to probably Edwards since he has improved his debating skills somewhat.

13. He was clearly the best - on one of the first ones
Chris Matthews seemed unable to believe what he saw - he was just incredulous. Saying Kerry was very very good.

14. Yes. And he dominated the debates even more starkly in the general.
And then he won. But the DNC did not secure the election process for the Democratic voters and the candidates. They did not work as they promised they would in 2001, and never countered the four year effort by the RNC and its operatives who worked to suppress votes, purge voter rolls and gain control of the vote count.

Kerry won in 2004. The DNC's neglect of the party infrastructure where the votes get counted, lost it for all of us between the years 2000 and 2005.

4. Sounds like a MSNBC wish list to me. Not Bayhing it myself.
I'm content for my frontrunner wish to not paint a bright red bullseye on themselves until we are closer to the election.

9. Agreed. Whenever a repub asks me if Clinton is going to be our nominee
I just smile and say nothing. The smile is indicative of neither confirmation or denial. They think I'm full of secret knowledge.

11. or if you are talkin to a real Bush type
you should ask if McCain is going to be their nominee. It'll get to them just as much. I have a republican friend who voted for Bush twice, although he says he is not a great president. He said he would vote for Hillary over McCain. Those people DESPISE McCain.

5. Edwards
beacuse: Clinton is still a lightning rod for controversy and Freeper hatred, Richardson and Bayh are not well known.

I know that if I were picking what I thought would be the top 4 it would be Edwards, Clark, Feingold, and Clinton. Clark replacing Warner after he dropped out.

12. That's a scary lineup for them, so of course not!
And I don't think anyone ever took the other two very seriously. At least, I didn't.

15. Well yeah! Wouldn't want to make it too hard during wartime.....
I mean, afterall, why would Democrats want to run those who have the right strong solid opinion on Iraq and/or losta experience in National Security? How could that help Democrats?

Better to run a woman who's husband was President, a Former Senator who finally figured out Iraq and is sorry bout it all, an Hispanic Governor(during a divisive Illegal Hispanic Immigrant Debate) with Clinton admin North Korea connections and missing Alamo Secrets, and Bayh (pronounced Bayh) who is as confused on Iraq as was Edwards and Hillary. I mean...heck of a job, MSNBC! Thanks!

19. JOE BIDEN - WOOHOO!!!
M'kay, I'm fine with him as my senator but hell no on him being my president; although if he was nominated I'd support him 110% just like I would any other democrat.

I just think it's a hoot the guy is running knowing that at best, he'll get 3 electorial votes in the primaries (our state - Delaware)

20. Ok
Edwards and Clinton have fame names so right now I suspect they'll be the talk of the town in Iowa. But by the end of 07 I think both Bayh and Richardson will surge. Basically i like all of these people for different reasons and feel we could win with any of the 4 or a combination of 2 of them.

Like it or not we are a 50/50 country politically. The Republicans won 00 and 04 by about a stadium full of people. We will need swing voters to pull the 08 election off. The 2 that are most likely to pull that off are Bayh and Richardson.

Clinton is either loved or hated and has whitewater baggage and Edwards is percieved as to liberal by swing voters and independents. But I would certainly support them if they got it.....just considdering the swing voter appeal.

21. Why not Obama?

Especially with Oprah already giving him an endorsement. If she follows that up with her checkbook he might have a good shot.

was a sure winner and Kerry did not have a snow-balls chance in hell.
