FORGET 2008!!! (focus on next month instead) |
|
Spend too much time arguing about 2008, and you'll spend less time helping out your local Democratic candidate get elected/re-elected in 2006.
And then the Republican majority will remain the Republican majority.

3. Democrats can do more than ONE thing at a time |
|
UNLIKE REpukes!
Besides........... we are sitting so HIGH on the ladder right now. Even the COOK report says we're gonna take at least 35 seats in the HOUSE and probably 5 in the Senate. And that dude always UNDER estimates. Or so I've noticed. He's a true conservative after all.
LMAO!

4. No. That's an illusion in this particular case. Democrats will lose |
|
unless they focus on the here and now.
Volunteer for your local Democratic candidates -- or we'll be looking at another Republican majority, regardless of what any poll claims.

I said we (or I) can do more than one thing at a time.
It's already covered. NO need to toot my horn. I do what I can when I can.
Peace!

5. Let's fight for victory in this election |
|
rather than celebrating our victory before any votes are counted. I saw the Bush bumper sticker about "Premature Elation". Let's not be guilty of the same thing. It ain't over till it's over.

ISSSSSSSS I am a basically happy person.
I refuse to be bitter 24/7 or hostile 24/7 or fanatic period!
If you don't like my style....... tis your right.
Also my right to be who I am.

no need to scare people away cuz they don't perform to your expectations right?
we're all different and grand in different ways!
And I'm HAPPY (especially lately) but I haven't quit.

9. Let me offer a sexual explanation for disagreeing with you..... |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-13-06 08:44 PM by Rowdyboy
For most of us, politics is the ultimate high (almost as good as sex). Like sex, when an election approaches "climax" (ie November 7th) intensity builds, and the feverish desire to "complete the mission" needs to be moderated by some kind of distraction lest we peak too soon (so to speak  ). Discussion of 2008 just diverts us momentarily.
Warner's statement about the 2008 race probably should have been withheld until after the election, to keep us focused. Unfortunately, it wasn't so we get a little distracted. Its not a real problem.

I'm a Veteran I'm also disabled
I have many things that I am interested in....... sadly I don't do MOST of those anymore for the reasons called GW bush along with my disability which happened around the same time.
Anyway, I didn't start this thread, only added to it. I think that's allowed.
I just don't require instructions as to how I should FEEL or Contribute to the story.
I'm no political junkie, I've just had a crash course in the last 6yrs.
I post and contribute at the DNC blog usually but happened to wander by here today and haven't stopped posting since. Not sure what moved me to start chatting here. Maybe it was seeing CLARK's name again. I miss him.
Now I'm done chatting Gnite
Peace!
GO WES!!

|
Somewhere between 25%-33% of DUers are Clark supporters (if DU polls are to believed). I think you'll find it interesting.
