ANY MEMBER OF CONGRESS--$298,327 this cycle ALONE! It's enough to give you a headache.

6. Make people struggle but take $55K tax dollars to school your kids!
Raise the Soc. Sec. retirement age to 70 while he gets a nice gauranteed government pension!

Biggest recipient of lobbying and special interest money!

Shit, that's not even the worst of it!

WOW.

8. The item about dismantling the National Weather Service doesn't
even begin to tell the whole story, either. Seems ol' ricky has a good buddy who owns the Accuweather company and who would probably like a sweetheart deal from dear li'l ricky with the federal government to fill the void. You'd have to pay to subscribe, as opposed to being able to get National Weather Service updates for free. Kind of a tough break for poor people in the path of another killer hurricane like Katrina, don't you think?

SCHMUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He can eat shit and die as far as I'm concerned. I'd be tempted to relocate to Pennsylvania just for the privilege of voting against him.

When you read the rest of the points it gives you a crystal clear view of the Bush doctrine.

It's hard to depict what a nut he is in a debate because the mind-boggling stuff he supports would not even come up in an intelligent discussion of the issues.

30. Nah, he just gave it a name.
I like the idea of it being named after him, though. Dan Savage tried to make "Dick Cheney" a synonym for "Pearl Necklace" but it seems it didn't take.

17. What the hell???
Rick on birth control:

“I’m not a believer in birth control…I don’t think it works. I think it’s harmful to women.”

I cannot believe ANYONE is stupid enough to make that statement. And...women are NOT the only one's who use birth control. Duh...Ricky: Ever hear of condoms or a vasectomy?

23. Well, condoms and vasectomy's are dangerous to women too
because,

um,

well,

Ok I know, because if a woman doesn't spend as much time pregnant or raising small children as humanly possible, she might have to spend time worrying about her career, her adult relationships, her finances, or her human and feminine rights. All that worrying could give her a headache, so, for the good of woman kind everywhere, knock as many women up as often as possible. Really, you are doing us a favor.

Seriously, as a mother I can tell you from personal experience that the first 18 months of pregangcy / early infanthood you are mostly about food, clothing, shelter, hygine and sleep.

Those 18 months are when we need our brothers and sisters to carry the political torch for us. Once our kids grow, even just a bit, we can jump back into "village life", so to speak. But Ricky would like us to spend the rest of our lives as sleep deprived zombies, apparently.

(Sorry for the rant - my kid is teething, I've slept less than 8 hours in the past 3 nites TOTAL, and the thought of having another kid right now, 'cause Ricky "doesn't believe in birth control" is enough to make my head explode.)

25. I hear you...
...my one and only is in his 30s and I will NEVER forget teething and sleepless nights. My best wishes to you ~~ it does pass. But, it does seem like YEARS that this goes on.

Here is something my blessed foreign granny taught me that really helped out when you hit another stage that can drive a mommy crazy:

There will be a time that your baby is going from a two-nap to a one-nap day and really needs one and one-half naps a day. This is hell...putting up with a cranky child who really cannot get himself happy. So my grandmother, in her broken English, said to me (my clearer interp of her words follows): "Just move lunch up as early as you can, feed him and put him down for a nap, and each day move lunch back a bit later until he needs only one nap a day."

Seems so simple when I heard it. So...I hope this helps you out because your little one is probably just about at that stage!

Best of luck...and, it will pass. Think of it this way...and remember: Whatever fuels Ricky to say the shit he does, will never pass! You will look back on this, wonder how you survived teething and the terrible twos and it will not be a bad memory 30 years or so later. Honestly! And, you will even volunteer to sit your grandchildren and actually do so with fond memories of when their parent was a toddler!

:hi:

34. Thanks for the advice
she made the nap transition a few months back - now she takes one very long nap - heaven!

Actually, she's my 2nd and the key difference between the 1st and the second is that you KNOW it's going to get better. Even so, I spaced my kids 8 years appart, so I guess I wasn't too eager to jump back into the thick of things!

(And I got a solit 6 hours last night, with another 9 hours from 5 to 8 in AM, so now I feel like I can do anything!)

(Except have another kid, that is!)

Birth control is not bad for me. Being pregnant would be very, very bad for me right now. Fucking tool. I hate when men try and talk femlae reproductive health and planning with females, telling US how it should be. Bugger off, you uptight daft pansy!!!

Oh, and don't be afraid to be intolerant? Please, Santorum, come be intolerant in my freak show of a family. You'd probably stroke out at the idea of my Lesbian Republican mother, Puerto Rican uncle, and Jewish aunt, uncle and cousins.
