Your wife did an excellent job of pointing out just who supports the troops. It's not the Bush administration, or Republicans. Thank her for me, please...she's someone I'd be honored to meet. She must be an incredible woman.

3. K&R good stuff at the link... |

Being a Vietnam Vet, it occurs to me that the best way of "supporting troops" that are on their FOURTH CONSECUTIVE TOUR OF DUTY is to bring them home.
But there are several reasons for Republicans to leave them in Iraq.
(1) Unemployment figures go through the roof, when they return.
(2) Several truths about what's really going on in Iraq become available to the public.
(3) A hideously under-funded VA cannot serve them.
(4) Last but not least; if you want to see a future anti-war protester, peek under a helmut.

She been there when the Orange almost took my life. She watch my heart break when I come home from taken care of the wounded. She held me tight when Budget cuts cause three of the vets I take care of where denied their health care needs. Without her I would break down

I think the Bushbots use the term as a cover-all for Buxh policy in the Middle East. When they say "support the troops" they mean to stifle dissent of the war and end criticism of their "Commander In Chief".
We all feel gratitude and respect for those who wear the uniform regardless of their political leanings, but not necessarily the Pentagon policies.
Sometimes, when I listen to the warhawks on Fox I think they ignore the fact that they're in a 35% minority. They talk like it's common sense to "stay the course".
