4. the ony thing about her on 60 minutes that gives me a smile...

is that, being the "new kid on the block," she has to tape the intro to Andy Rooney. Discussing the show on one of their landmark anniversaries, a big point was made about that being the duty of the most junior person and considered to be pennance--not because of any slant towards Rooney-- but because it meant the person assigned had to work/stay later during taping.

I just mute her, when she is on...btw. I can proudly say I have NEVER tuned into the disgrace she calls the new CBS evening news broadcast. Katie, I don't even see your freeper friends rallying behind you... So, now that the cutesy cheerleader "girl-next-door" personna 'taint cutting it, whatcha gonna do?

6. The news

I can't even stand to watch her intro or closing on the news. It's a tough balancing act, because local ABC has a talk radio host as anchor. In the afternoon, he says stoopid things on the radio, then at night, he's on the news. So, I have to switch to CBS for local and to ABC for national. I've often caught Couric's closing giggle while switching to local. Curdles my blood.

(note that he didn't shy away from that word, either) or claiming that the BRAIN TUMOR he is battling has made him a nutcase. Nice people, those RRR*. Good Christians all, those RRR*. :sarcasm: (for the humorically challenged)

He isn't "one of us" by any means, except in the sense that he's a "good" evangelical, as I like to think I am.

He may not be on our side, but I applaud him for having the courage to say what those of us who try to act in our belief have known for some time.
