In my state (WI), the ads have been brutal, from both sides. We haven't had funny political ads (that I remember) since Russ Feingold ran the first time and ran home made ads using a video camera to show that he was not in the pocket of big money.

9. Christie Myhos's

In Massachusetts, a fellow named Christie Myhos is
running as an independent (approximately right wing)
candidate for Governor.

He is running an ad where the voice-over (paraphrased)
asks a cartoon character on the screen: "Mr. Engineer,
can you explain how the Big Dig went $12 Billion dollars
over budget?"

The cartoon engineer then begins explaining, but quickly
bends over and puts his head up his own ass.

The scene is then repeated, but the question is asked of
a half-dozen or so of the political leadership. As they
reply, they each, in sequence, stick their heads up their
ass.

I wouldn't vote for Myhos, but DAMN, that's the
best political ad I've seen in years and maybe EVER!

Our GOP in Florida is really running scared. Several local representatives and offices are now up for grabs. I hope people come out to vote and the machines aren't hacked!

Our TV ads here are all attack, attack, attack...someone like Ken Gordon would win hands down.

My phone has been ringing off the hook with political calls. I hope the Bushies are done for in Florida, but they are putting lots of $'s into TV. None of the ads are near as good as the sharks!
