LOOK! It says "Protecting America!" Why, that must mean that whatever Bush is signing will Protect America, especially if it gives him unlimited authority to force captives to strip naked and engage in simulated sex and masturbation, break fluorescent light tubes over their backs and pour phosphoric liquid on them, rape detainees with a chemical light and a broomstick, and unleash attack dogs that severely maim prisoners! WOW! USA! USA! USA!

I'd like to kick his PR team between the legs then upside the head when they bend over.

It's cheap and tacky as all hell. The symbol of the POTUS should always stand alone. There should be no other signs or words needed to convey to the people that the person behind the podium is looking out for our best interests. So you see, the fact they feel the need to put up the extra BS goes to show you how little respect the presidential seal commands at this time.

5. He's a long-established sadist
Tortured his brothers as a child - shot them with BB guns. (Actually shot them, as per Neil's account). Blew up frogs with firecrackers. It's well-known that a child who tortures animals indicates trouble in adulthood.

7. What a disgustingly microscopic soul he is....
Half of me believes he doesn't even grasp what itis she's really signing into law there, while the other half despises him for doing it. Jesus Christ, as most of us have come to know and understand his teachings, would NEVER have signed a bill like that into law.

It just horrifies me.

15. Time to share Tucker Carlson's account of the Karla Faye Tucker story:
Karla Tucker and George W. Bush

Under Texas law, each death penalty case has one chance to be reprieved by a governor without the recommendation of the Board of Pardons and Paroles. The board must recommend the second reprieve in order for it to be granted. All 18 members of the Board of Pardons and Paroles are appointed by the governor (Clark, 2000). Before Tucker was executed, there were pleas for clemency from Waly Bacre Ndiaye, the United Nations commissioner on summary and arbitrary executions, the World Council of Churches, Pope John Paul II, and Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, among other world figures. Unusual pleas came from conservative American political figures such as Newt Gingrich and Pat Robertson, interceding on her behalf. Tucker did not ask for a pardon, only commutation of her death sentence to life in prison. Huntsville Prison's warden testified that she was a model prisoner and that, after 14 years on death row, she likely had been reformed. Despite these pleas, Bush signed her death warrant. In 1999, during the 2000 Republican Presidential primary race, conservative commentator Tucker Carlson interviewed Bush for Talk Magazine (September 1999, p. 106). Excerpt from this interview is quoted below:

In the weeks before the execution, Bush says, a number of protesters came to Austin to demand clemency for Karla Faye Tucker. "Did you meet with any of them?" I ask. Bush whips around and stares at me. "No, I didn't meet with any of them," he snaps, as though I've just asked the dumbest, most offensive question ever posed. "I didn't meet with Larry King either when he came down for it. I watched his interview with Tucker, though. He asked her real difficult questions like, 'What would you say to Governor Bush?'" "What was her answer?" I wonder. "'Please,'" Bush whimpers, his lips pursed in mock desperation, "'don't kill me.'" I must look shocked — ridiculing the pleas of a condemned prisoner who has since been executed seems odd and cruel — because he immediately stops smirking.

Bush denied that he had intended to make light of the issue.

16. The 'Torture-meister' is an empty soul without a conscience and.....
no remorse. Don't be fooled by this heinous, evil personality's 'good old boy' mantra; it is purely a devious act.

12. His name is now on it.
One wonders why he is smiling or smirking. An ordinary person would consider the gravity of what he just signed, or the history of it, or at least reflect that he was now the chimperor of all that he sees.

Is he thinking of all of the hands on he can now do?

Is he thinking of all the video he can now watch?

Is it just like the frogs back 'home'?

21. Yeah,
he thinks that he's signing the law that will keep him out of prison for crimes he already knows he has committed. He'll have an entirely different look on his face one of these days, after a few investigations and after that law is overturned.

and the POS's doing it with a flourish. Sound the trumpets.

The sign should read America Disappears.
