defend himself. Also - so what if this happened to Foley when he was young - it still doesn't absolve him for fooling around with the Pages. He should have known better. He should have known how it would effect young boys because it happened to him.

4. If this Priest actually exists ...
The arrogance of Mark Foley is astounding. He blames everyone BUT himself.

Healing Process? Bullshit! I've worked in addiction counseling and familiar with 12 Step Programs. It would be different and necessary to act immediately if, say it was 35 f'ing years ago when Foley could have actually prevented more abuse. If he really wanted reconciliation with the Catholic hierarchy, he would have left this action to one of his later actions. Such "recovery" with the alleged Priest should be done without "the media" in attendance. This stunt has nothing to do with a person making true and heartfelt efforts toward their recovery.

At this point, I'm doubtful that this man was actually molested at all. Remember he also, in his smarmy way was trying to tie this into his sexual orientation.

Foley has only been successful at insulting Alcoholics and Homosexuals who do not "bugger teenage boys." He's a disgrace to both his office and humanity in general. :(

Although his proclamations only help us (The Democratic Party), I too wish this IMO horrible excuse for a human being would just STFU already.

5. Oh yeah. That was my first thought the day he said he had been
molested as a child.

And I didn't believe it then. I don't believe it now.

But even if I'm wrong, this does NOT justify his predatory actions.

6. I forgot the law that said you get to screw minors
if you were yourself molested, and you get double immunity if you were molested by a priest. Can somebody point me to the link for that law?
