Doolittle Under DOJ Investigation!

Doolittle, Republican 6 term Congressmember from Dist 4 of Norther Calif (Placer County most republican county in Calif and northern Sierra counties) running for his political life vs. Vietnam era Air Force Col. Charlie Brown. What a sweet deal Doolittle has worked out for himself as a member Congress. His wife has a business (her only business) to raise money for him and collects 15% of the donations to his political campaign as her income. Sac Bee reported today that she brings in 25% of Doolittle's current campaign war chest (total $2 million.) The donations come from all over the place - Abramoff, the donor to Cunningham, Indian Tribes seeking favor from the US Interior Dept for casinos, and other influence seekers. Little did these donors know, or maybe they did, that their donations not only go to the Doolittle family household income, but Doolittle, again according to todays Sac Bee, he has used thousands of dollars from that same campaign fund to pay lawyers who are talking to the Dept of Justice to "clear his name."

Doolittle is under investigation in the Abramoff scandal. But, he has done nothing wrong, why does he need to clear his name?

I am not associated with the Charlie Brown for Congress effort, but I did vote for him by absentee ballot and encourage anybody in this district to vote for Charlie.
