Foley's excuse for his stalking teens enforces the pedo line ... |
|
Mark Foley claims that he was molested by a priest as a teen/young boy ... (when he names a priest, I wonder if there is ever any record of said priest existing, at least in the times that he would be claiming, but that's beside the point).
A lot of pedophiles have pointed out that they were molested as children ... and that made them do it ... not the "homosexuality" ...
So the Repukes, if they buy into the "priest molested me" defense of Foley, cannot hide behind the "gay" issue ... it's a pedo issue ... it explains (to an extent) Foley's tendency to go after teen boys, not "gay men" ...

1. Lots of abused kids grow up to be law abiding, productive adults |
|
Claiming to have been abused is not an excuse. It does sound like the reasoning of a drunk though. I know there aren't any witnesses to Foley's self-proclaimed alcohol problem, but he sure makes excuses like my boozer dad...

2. The "gay men" factor is unknown. |
|
Who knows what he's done with men his own age, all we know for certain is he's perverted. I find this whole thing confusing.

3. So far, I think there was one "man" who came out and said something |
|
about an affair ... but that was well after Foley started the courtship when the "man" was a teen page ...

a study that showed that while many pedophiles CLAIM to be victims themselves, only about 1/2 were.

7. My house was once robbed. Can I go on a burglery rampage? |
|
Also, I was exposed to people who used illicit drugs when I was an impressionable high school student. Can I use that as an excuse to start shooting up, now that I have an excuse to start robbing houses to support my habit?

9. Were you using alcohol when that burglary happened? |
|
...It is important to establish that you were not only a helpless victim, but also a hopeless drunk for this to work properly as an effective defense. Oh, it also helps if you are republican and that you have been born again and that you hold some high elected office.
P.S. Any childhood sexual encounters where you might have been asked by your predator to steal condoms can't hurt either, but never admit that you enjoyed either the molestation or the theft:hide: :yoiks:

8. Marc Foley should now be probed for answers to the following |
|
...questions, given that he has gone public with this as his defense:
"Were you as a child molested only once, or repeatedly?"
"If repeatedly, how many different times were you molested?"
"Was it only one priest or two or more priests who molested you?"
"Were you molested by others not of the clergy at anytime as a child?"
"How old were you when the molestation first took place?"
"When did your own behaviors as a pedophile, that is interest in under-aged children begin?"
...and so on and so forth. We have here an adult who is hiding behind the cloak of victimization and addiction. However, Congressman Tom Foley is not just any adult, he is a long term congressman assigned with the power and authority to propose and vote on laws which govern the behaviors and functions of the people and institutions of the United States of America. We deserve a full investigation and admission of his behaviors and accounting of his character and nothing less.
