Do you feel the fear???
I don't. And, I am saying this about the up-coming elections in regard to the bullshit that has been spouted by the neo-cons ever since 9-11. Those canned "fear" lines don't seem to be working anymore. It used to be, at least it seemed so to me, that when the Pubs got up and screamed about the Dems being soft on terrorists, that the Dems were terrorists lovers, etc., etc., etc., these stupid remarks hit some people who then voted out of fear. I have actually seen some of my staunch Repuke friends roll their eyes when these statements come on the TV or radio.

I just don't feel fear in the air anymore. Is it just me...or are people really waking up? Did the sheeple finally see through this neocon shit?

Was it the war in Iraq...coupled with the bad economy...that finally got to them??? Or did it take Mark Foley's sex follies to get the attention of those who for have had their heads buried under tons of sand for far too long?

I don't know what caused it ~~ but to this old. liberal political activist, all I can say is that something is different. Really different. Thank gawd!

:hi:

4. I agree....
....it's almost embarrassing to watch the neocons trot out this tired turkey over and over. No knee-jerk reaction anymore from the sheeple.

Too bad more did not wake up long ago. A thousands upon thousands of Iraqis and 3,000 US Soldiers might not be dead if they had. Frankly, I blame Bush AND those who voted for him for everyone of those deaths. They bought into the lies without looking at the facts.

Stupid, very stupid, people ... who bought anything that POS in the WH said.

2. My biggest fear
is that they have Gerrymandered this country into right wing oblivion. Which could explain Rove's confidence.

3. You can only use a lie so long before the people you are lying to
figure out that they have been lied to.
I think that point has been breeched with many people. Cheney thinks he can still scare people but for the most part, it is over.
Unless Rove has a late October terror drill up his sleeve nothing will re-fear the sheep.

6. People started noticing their personal economic conditions
and more wised up the the fact that the fear card was nothing more than a pick-pocket's diversion trick.

People who run their own businesses are feeling the pinch. Upper middle-class and even lower upper-class feeling the pinch. Thems dat have are starting to see losses and noticing only thems dat have LOTS are doing OK.

Fear being replaced by anger at being used.

Then there is the fact that more Americans now know a family who has lost a loved one on the pointless war. Despite the great efforts the GOP has taken to keep the causalities off the collective mind, they are mounting up and making impressions.

8. If you are right and the repukes agree, I think we can expect a
"terrorist" attack in the next two weeks. They cannot afford to let the sheep begin to feel comfortable as fear is the only tool they have left.
