SNIP:
Politics
A new Gallup poll shows that only 23% of the country approves of the job Congress is doing. Broken down by party, 12% of the Democrats approve, 21% of the independents approve and 42% of the Republicans approve. With most Democrats and independents and half the Republicans against Congress, the GOP message of "All is well; don't fire Congress" is falling on deaf ears. Karl Rove has his work cut out for him the next three weeks.

1. I think that House number is quite optimistic
I think we will win control in both chambers, but that's quite a leap in numbers.

Remember 61 % of people think THEIR congressman is doing a good job.

5. Right.
While all this 'national' polling is exciting, we need to continue our focus on LOCAL races, where the numbers haven't been quite as exciting.

2. The problem is, thirty Dinos would side with the Republicans.
Just because we win a majority, does it really mean we have one?

3. Well if the leadership gets a strong three line whip into place...
those DINOs have no choice. We need our version of Tom Delay, minus the corruption of course.

Mark.

4. I agree..
our nation probably wouldn't be in debt if Democrats in the Senate had stuck together on the budget and opposed Bush's taxcuts immediately after he took office. some might say.."at least we're not a dictatorship"

wow..even conservatives better have higher standards than that! Almost everything positive while Clinton was President occurred in his first two-years, then he spent the rest of his time in office satisfying the Republicans.
