3. He's like Lieberman pretty much
Stridently pro-Israel to the point of endorsing neocon policy if he thinks it helps Israel. I have no idea where he comes down on the torture bill, Alito, etc.

5. He's all over the place
On some issues he seems liberal - for example, he made his rep fighting for the rights of the accused. On others he's a hawk - for instance, he thinks that torture is appropriate.

He was a big Kerry supporter in the 2004 general election - even went out on the stump for him.
