...any foray Steele makes into the black vote will hurt his Democratic opponent. The repugs usually receive virtually no votes from blacks.
Not a bad strategy, they probably got him for cheap.

4. A new poll has Steele tied with Cardin |
|
I think Obama needs to spend a lot of time in Maryland explaining that he needs Cardin in the Senate to help. A lot of African Americans think that the Maryland Democrats have taken them for granted; they may be tempted to vote for Steele for that reason. Steele has run a good campaign, and Cardin has no charisma. Of course, Steele is wrong on all the issues, in my opinion.

All the polls I've seen recently have Cardin up between 7-10 points!

18. A good assessment of this race |
|
Cardin lacks charisma and his ads have all the flavor of the 1970's, whereas Steele is charismatic and his ads are very slick. Steele is an asshole but Cardin needs some bigtime Dem personalities to help him out in Maryland!

And last time I checked a pay phone, his endorsement and fifty cents would get me a pay phone call.

17. I agree with the other DU'er... |
|
This should help Cardin. Any one with slightly an IQ above 80 would think Tyson is a wacko cruel person. IQ isn't necessarily an indicator of an open minded person, it does have its merits however, and seeing Tyson support Steele should be a commercial made by the OTHER side...

24. Russell Simmons is supporting Steele, fercryinoutloud! |
|
It's one thing to have a brain-dead neanderthal supporting him, but a thoughtful, intelligent, successful celebrity like Simmons is, to me, incomprehensible.
Hasn't Simmons always been progressive?
