I do not hesitate to say, that those who call themselves Abolitionists should at once effectually withdraw their support, both in person and property, from the government of Massachusetts, and not wait till they constitute a majority of one, before they suffer the right to prevail through them. I think that it is enough if they have God on their side, without waiting for that other one. Moreover, any man more right than his neighbors constitutes a majority of one already.

I will not abide by the Military Commissions Act.

Waterboarding is torture, and those who order others to employ it are war criminals; those who approve its use are war criminals; those who write legal memoranda advising its use are war criminals.

The President of the United States -- much less the presumptive President -- has no authority to lock anyone up without charges.

George W. Bush lost the election of 2000 and has occupied the White House illegally since January 20, 2001. He is no more the President of the United States than is his Scottish Terrier, Barney, who is much more charming and intelligent.

Mr. Bush came to power in a coup d'etat. He has used the power of the presidency, which he holds without legitimacy, to transfer public funds to his corporate cronies and to restrict civil liberties. He has allowed his allies surreptitiously to undermine the principles of free and fair elections.

No American, military or civilian, owes the former Governor of Texas the slightest allegiance.

There is no war on terror. Mr. Bush continues to assert there is, but he long ago dismissed the importance of Osama and al Qaida, those who are responsible for the attacks on the United States of September 11, 2001. He used the attacks as a pretext to wage war against a sovereign state unconnected in any way to them.

The war against Iraq is not the central front in the war on terror. It is nothing more or less than a vehicle to create business opportunities for war profiteers at the expense of the Iraqi and American people. The rationale for the war was a pack of vile, deliberate lies. That is a war crime in and of itself, a wholesale violation of the United Nations Charter. Those in the White House, the State Department and the Pentagon who planned and executed the invasion of Iraq are the enemies of the Iraqi and American peoples in particular, and of all humanity in general.

The NSA wire tapping program is a violation of the Fourth Amendment. If I find a bug in my home, I will treat is as I would any other bug: throw it on the floor and crush it under my shoe.

The Military Commissions Act is a prima facie violation of the Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Amendments, as well as Article 1/section 9 of the main body of the Constitution. It is without force.

Should I fall upon any information concerning an investigation of an unsuspecting American citizen or legal resident of the United States under the USA PATRIOT Act, I will, in willful disregard of the act, make the name of the subject of the investigation public.

The Geneva Conventions are in force. Mr. Bush and his lieutenants violate them at their peril.

The entire earth is a First Amendment Zone. No government or potentate or any other power has the authority to deprive any person under any circumstances of his liberty, his possessions or his life without due process of law.

I call for the convening of an international tribunal for war crimes in Iraq and crimes against humanity arising out of the so-called war on terror for the purpose of putting Mr. Bush and the others responsible for gross human rights violations on trial and, if such the facts warrant it, send them to prison.

I agree with your post. But, there is something very wrong
with Americans. We watch, listen and comment and then sit and
wait for someone to come along to tell us what to do. I am
getting an strange feeling I'm standing in line at a gas
chamber. Any ideas of what individual actions or group

By which I mean US - WE the people. NOT the "U.S." per se. Although in another regard it does indeed mean all of US here in the U.S. SOMEONE has to say no to this schmuck. The House and Senate won't do it. Nor will any of the governors. But WE get the chance to do so in early November. Remember that.
