I was mesmerized by Bill Clinton speech earlier today
I hope that someone can post a link to the full transcript. I could only feel a sense of longing to what we had, we could have.

Sure, even the Geico gecko will sound articulate next to Bush, still, to listen to the way Clinton moved from one topic to the next, to articulate so well the difference between them and us.

There were so many things that I would like to quote, to memorize.

His quotes from several presidents, starting, I think, with Andrew Jackson: equal rights to all, special privilege to none. And another quote from FDR, and from Kennedy.

His talk about how ideology has no place in politics, that are based on negotiation. Ideology, on the other hand, closes the minds of the people.

And, of course, he wrote this himself. Can anyone even imagine Bush writes anything??

Thank you, MSNBC for carrying the bulk of the speech

1. I saw most of it....As always, Bill Clinton exemplifies the best in....
politics.

I was lucky enough to actually meet him this summer, and-the next day-visited his library. I left that magnificent building in tears over how much ground we have lost since the supreme court screwed the country. I'm very much afraid the damage is irreparable, at least in my lifetime. Justices Roberts and Alito alone will screw the country for decades.

I pity the younger among us.
