Unbelievable new polls from NY
Majority Watch has some new polls from NY. And the news is awesome. There is a good chance republicans are almost completely shut out of the state...

NY-03
King (R) - 45
Mejias (D) - 43

NY-19
Sue Kelly (R) - 40
John Hall (D) - 49

NY - 20
Sweeney (R) - 41
Gilibrand (D) - 54

NY - 24
Meier (R) - 43
Arcuri (D) - 52

NY - 25
James Walsh (R) - 43
Dan Maffei (D) - 51

NY - 26
Tom Reynolds (R) - 39
Jack Davis (D) - 56

NY - 29
Randy Kuhl (R) - 40
Eric Massa (D) - 52

With Hillary and Spitzer on top of the ticket, republicans have nothing to be happy about. These are 7 seats democrats can gain in the state of NY. The only safe seats for the republicans in NY seem to be Fossela in NY-13, McHugh in NY-23. If the wave is big enough, republicans might very well end up with only 2 seats in NY.

1. Majority Watch is a Dem 527
This would be like Progress For America or the Swiftboat Liars putting out polls on races. I would like to believe Majority Watch's polls, but until I see the candidates doing well on Election Day, I'll take them with a huge grain of salt.

2. Cannot be dismissed as partisan
From RT strategies site - "Cannot be dismissed as partisan...Thomas Riehle, a Democrat, and Lance Tarrance, a veteran GOP pollster…make up the RT in RT Strategies."

A bipartisan public affairs opinion research and polling organization, sponsor of the National Omnibus Poll, and partners of the Cook Political Report/RT Strategies Poll.

· Two senior survey research executives, with 50 years of national political and public policy experience

· One Democrat and one Republican, bringing their combined best thinking to identifying the challenges and finding the solutions for clients through public affairs research

· Methodology neutral, using the best tools available for each assignment: random digit dialing (RDD) telephone polls, interactive voice response (IVR) polling, on-line panel research and qualitative research.
