Heard on CNN Radio: Iraqi insurgents waiting for Election 2006 results...
Ah, yes. A new Repug talking point.

The "insurgents" are waiting to see if America votes to "help them" by voting against Bush's War For Overwhelming Feeling of Fear and Anxiety or not. Oh, I meant "War On Terror"...

So the "insurgents", who are fighting not only themselves as well as their occupiers (us), all met somewhere to agree to watch the Election results on a TV somewhere in the country where there is electricity.

Oh...OK...

1. the ever corrupt bush mob can blame their failure on US election outcomes
or maybe they can just say it is all "god's will".

2. Disgusting. I can't possibly loathe the GOP controlled media any more
than I do now.

People need to wake up and battle the media down at every point and EXPOSE their GOP masters.

5. It was a "reporter"
On the top of the hour (9:00AM), CNN Radio had the report. It was a general story about the war and then there was a female reporter who declared the "story"...

I'll see if they repeat at the 10:00 hour and record it...

7. Can NFL game announcers say "he's throwing a bomb" now?
With the allusion that NFL stadiums might be terrorist targets recently by Homeland Security, could a football contain a dirty bomb? Should we vote Repuglican to make sure football is safe?

:sarcasm:

9. Link to story on CNN
"(U.S. military spokesman, Maj. Gen. William Caldwell) said insurgents are looking to influence midterm elections in the United States."

"It's no coincidence that the surge in attacks against coalition forces and subsequent increase in U.S. casualties coincide with our increased presence on the streets in Baghdad and the run-up to the American midterm elections," he said.

10. Absolutely. They love Bush for several reasons.
First, it puts a face on the US that the entire world can hate. Bush is a great recruiting tool for terrorists.

Second, Bush gives them credence by saying we're "at war" with the terrorists. If we looked upon them as criminals they would not have the political power that they have by being recognized as an enemy force.

And finally, they know with the GOP in power there will be no peace in the Middle East any time soon. So they can keep recruiting and the US can keep breeding terrorism in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, etc etc.
