Dear Democratic Candidates

On November 7, win both houses.

When you take control of Congress, do not equivocate.

Remember what America is supposed to be, and then look over what's been done to it in the last six years.

Undo the damage, punish the guilty, and bravely lead us forth to progress.

Do not be Democrat Lite. Do not kiss the ass of the Religious Right or some mythical Red State soccer mom.

Do not pull your punches just because the most venal and vicious elements of society demand that you — and only you — pretend there's anything gentlemanly about modern American politics.

I've donated my money, my time, and my soul to the betterment of America. I'm sure you've done the same, and that's why you became Democrats.

Though you are about to walk through the valley of the shadow of Bush, Fox News, and Pat Robertson, fear no evil, for we — and this nation's great forefathers — art with you.

If there's a fair accounting, we really ought to win this time. And if not, I weep for my country.

3. Yes, all signs are that there should be a major turnover

If not, we weep for an hour and come back and fight for the country.

I hate to think of all the additional damage a Repub controlled government would do in two more years.

Attempts to steal elections should be assumed. They are afraid of the subpoenas! Repubs have effectively stopped investigations of some very serious criminal activity. If they lose, many of them face jail time and fines in addition to losing their power over others. (Not to mention war crimes charges for some.) They are desperate and we need to be watchful.

4. Despite the name of my blog...

I'm so *not* a conspiracy guy. But these characters are so riddled with corruption and so, as you say, desparate, I just can't rule anything out.
