Tony Snow blames the messenger for GOP's problems
From the DrudgeReport (aka, the Drudgery Portal...piggybacking on the hard work of real journalists since 1994!):

Tony Snow on election coverage: 'These stories almost look like suppression efforts to bring down Republican morale'..."

Or, to be more precise, they DO look like honest reporting about a party that's lost its moral compass.

Make that, a party that's thrown its moral compass on the ground, stomped in into tiny pieces, and sold the remains for a quick buck, all while thumping a bible for effect.

4. The truth to Tony like sunlight to Dracula
Telling the truth = "suppression efforts" to the party of responsibility.

5. That's a Talking Point
Hannity or O'Reilly used the exact same words yesterday: "bring down Republican morale".

7. That's the theme of the past two weeks or so.
The poor republicans are having a tough time justifying the scandals in which they are involved. Now they're hoping against hope to play the victim (and trying to scare the shit out of their base) and score a few points with the nutters who support them.

11. Yeah, Republicans should be strutting like the cock of the walk!
Sure, there's some unpleasantness associated with one or two little items, but should that really bring the Republicans down? Yas, for some of you people we realize that the past few years may not have been the unadulterated free feeding at the trough that it's been for us, but must you be so dreary and bring everyone else down about it? You military widows and widowers are among the worst, I must say. Please be just a little considerate and remember that I have to motor into the marina every weekend in last year's model yacht. You wouldn't believe the ribbing I take for that from the commodore!

6. then he went on to say
"But they are nothing like the voter suppression efforts that the GOP has engaged in"
Doesn't matter who votes, its who counts the votes that matters...man are we screwed!

8. He always sounds like he's lecturing someone
I wonder if the press corp has sore eyes from rolling them at what he says.

9. I love it . . . the more they talk about low 'Lican morale . . .
The lower it's going to go. We're talking human nature here. They were on much firmer motivational ground last week when they asserted with full confidence that they were going to hold the House and the Senate -- now they're driving down enthusiasm throughout their supporters' ranks.

Keep it up Tony!

10. It's like arresting a crook would just be too depressing for the crook
Why ruin a crook's day with arresting him for a crime? I mean, really... can't we just let the crook bask in the sun and sip martinis like everybody else?
