Hannity stunt shows why GOP attacks on Pelosi wont work

If you watched MSNBC today one congressman from CA gave away the GOP strategy for the upcoming weeks. This is to demonize Nancy Pelosi. Today on Hannity he had a staffer go out on the street and hold up six picture in this order

1-Pelosi
2-Reid
3-Hastert
4-Jessica Simpson
5-Alec Baldwin
6-Paris Hilton.

Not one person could identify Pelosi or Reid. They are trying to take a page from the Democrats that they used against Newt. The only problem is that Newt was such a blowhard that everyone knew who he was. Nobody knows who Pelosi is. I have noticed Nancy has been staying off the TV lately.

I'll admit that I watch very little tv. No time with a toddler, and I don't particularly care for him to watch the news. But I do have time to catch up online, read articles and news stories. I also subscribe to several lists to keep informed. Just because I'm not intimately familiar with the location of my leaders moles, doesn't mean they are incapable of leading me.

When asked if they know who Nancy Pelosi was they ALL said no.

5. the strategy doesn't depend on recognition

They are banking on the hope that it doesn't matter who Nancy Pelosi is. They'll say if you don't vote for (insert name of crook here), a (shudder) "LIBERAL FROM SAN FRANCISO" (who is a woman with a last name that ends in a vowel, by the way) will BE IN CHARGE!

But, I think you are right that it won't work. Actually, I don't remember it working against Newt either.

Why Pelosi?

What has she ever said or done that would make people not like her? I can see how the Republican base wouldn't like her, but why anyone else?
