3. The good NY polls from yesterday were useless robo-polling |
|
Those polls greatly overestimated Dem strength in NY house races.

4. Do you have a link to a NY poll? I'm up in NY-23 district with.. |
|
McHugh as the Rep incomant and Bob Johnson running on the Dem ticket. I just read that Johnson may actually have a chance, goodness knows I've been seeing his campaign signs up all over the place up here, and would like to see how he's doing. :)
Thanks in advance. :)

6. Wouldn't that be wonderful? McHugh used to seem rather moderate |
|
but he's turned into a Neo-Con. He's totally forgotten his roots and his Ike style Republican constituents who (foolishly) voted him in to represent their interests.
I've not had the pleasure of meeting the good Doctor in person but I've read his site and his blog over on Kos and am truly impressed and very much hoping he can win this time.
People up here really are very po'd. Over the Summer we had a couple of yard sales (with Bill & Hillary life size stand up posters as conversation starters;))and there wasn't even one person (even admitted Repulicans) who was pleased with the way the Repulicans are running things into the ground. What we all found sort of surprising was that the general consensus (98%) was very pro-Hillary but I think that's partly because she actually comes up this way and, using her pull, has helped a few folks that really needed it.
It's always good to get feedack from a fellow NNYer. Are you on the east side of the district or west side? It's a very big (yet poor) district.. we're NW up near Canton,Ogdensurg, etc and the Seaway. :)

You are correct in your post here... mchugh = neocon supporter, people fed up with the pukkkes now... etc.
I have not met him either, but I do hope he can win.
I am living in the north-central Adirondacks, the tri-lakes area... that would be on the east side of the district.

7. We're trying in CT. The problem is |
|
that our Repubs are to varying degrees prochoice and not religiously insane. But Nancy Johnson is introuble and Chris Shays is losing his mind over the closeness in his race. I think Rob Simmons will hold onto his seat (because he represents the sub base district and people give him credit for its survival). I would love to see Diane Farrell win over Shays. She is a rising star in the Democratic Party, so pay attention.
