What IS the Red State Republican "Base" so AFRAID of?? |
|
Terror! Terror! Terror! We keep hearing that the RNC wants to keep the topic on TERROR because it's their "strong issue" (which isn't saying much, these days).
What, exactly, are people in heavily-Republican areas afraid of? The "reddest" areas are rural, low-population areas -- hardly hot targets for terrorists. (Although H2S has always said that if terrorists REALLY wanted to freak out the whole country, they'd attack some random mall in Nebraska or something.)
Do these terrorist-fearing Republican voters smoke? Do they drink? Do they eat high-fat junk food? If so, those are FAR more realistic things for them to be worried about.
Are they worried about family members going to Iraq, and not coming back; going to college, or to unemployment; or suffering a catastrophic health crisis without any health insurance? Those are also things it makes FAR more sense for them to be worried about than terrorism.
Why the hell are they SO SCARED of terrorists that they've lost all perspective?!?

2. ALL of the "targets" are blue cities. |
|
New York City
D.C.
L.A.
San Francisco
Seattle
Chicago
The only "Red" targets I can think of are Vegas and Disney World.
The Red staters are far more secure from terrorist attacks. If they're also more afraid, it's only because their buttons are being pushed.

Tell them to be afraid of. Some of these people are freepers and can't be reasoned with (they're in blue states too). These are the 30% we know so well. That leaves millions of people that are pretty much just like us.
These non-freepers get their news from the M$M (includes local right-wing propaganda) and have bought into the negative views of Liberals. Here in Nevada during the fall primaries, the Re:pukes: were calling each other too "Liberal" and using the term as if it's the worst thing imaginable.
There is no fear of terrorism here. These folks have been brainwashed.

Being afraid of terrorists, even when you live in a rural town of 2000 people, isn't much of a stretch when everything from change to Janet Jackson's tit upsets you.

...tell them to be afraid of, it's the RW "leadership" who's afraid of losing power (control), because when they lose control, they know a lot of them are going to jail, hopefully GTMO.

11. Let's try this again. |
|
Historically, Democrats focused attention on urban areas and Republicans on rural areas, which include agriculture and military installations. Democrats at the national level never campaigned nor supported Democrats at the state level, we have essentially been left with a one party system.
Why don't you research how much money from the party made it's way into Nebraska's races in the last 10 years compared to other states with the same amount of electoral votes?
By the way, Western Nebraska contain a large supply of missiles, and in the East is Stratcom.

12. Their "Strong" issue? |
|
The worst terrorist attack on American soil happened ON THEIR WATCH. The Taliban is stronger. Al Qaeda hasn't died. We created a terrorist state in the innocent country (who has never done harm to ONE American citizen) that we attacked. They plan on keeping America in a perpetual state of war, which will create even more terrorists.
And they still have not captured Bin Forgotten.
Even the most brain-addled Repuke dickhead isn't believing the bullshit any longer.
