MSNBC's showing GOP "Osama" ad at least once per hour, for "analysis" |
|
Just like the Swift Boat Liars ad...the ad is in "heavy rotation" on MSNBC, getting FREE air time. So far they've had a "Republican Spokesperson" and "Democratic Spokesperson" discuss it, and the discussions are usually the same:
Democrat: "The GOP is using the ad to scare the American people, and to sell their record on fighting terror, when in fact their record is terrible and they let Osama get away"
Republican: "The Democrats voted against legislation that would help us apprehend terrorists."
I'll bet that Rove is sitting on his fat ass in his office, cackling like a hen.

2. That video is so extreme, it's not gonna work. |
|
I really think the GOP has worn out the fear card; they've been using it since 2002 and people are tired of hearing their crap. It's a last ditch effort cause they're desperate.

4. That's how media kicks in for GOPs at every crucial turn. It only worked |
|
when there was still some public trust for Bush and the media. I doubt it will work again at this point in our postKatrina world of reality.

...in one of the segments this morning, MSNBC showed it right behind the "Osama" ad.
Bush makes his "wanted dead or alive" remarks. Then he says "He's not a concern to me." Then, the voice-over says "And then, right before the election..." and there's a montage of Bush clips in which he says "Osama" repeatedly ("Osama Osama Osama Osama Osama Osama Osama Osama Osama")...
So there IS a "rebuttal clip," it's just not consistently getting equal airplay with the GOP clip.

7. I wish I were part of the Democratic party leadership |
|
I would blow these Republicans apart on this national security issue.
Everytime they run an Osama ad, I would counter-ad immediately blaming the Republicans for 9-11 with the twin towers being attacked and Dumbya sitting there in FL classroom clue-less. After all it happened on their watch. Also add another ad highlighting the lies that took us into Iraq and show the daily killings over there and alternative uses for the monies being spent over there.
These Dems do not know how to fight. You watch them at debates and they are mamby-pamby talking about body-armor for the troops to "get the job done" and other silliness. Folks we will continue to lose if Dem candidates allow a weenie effeminate fool like DeWine is able to paint Sherrod Brown as not tough on terrorism.
