Iranians chant anti-U.S. slogans as they burn an effigy of U.S. President George W. Bush during an anti-Israeli rally marking 'Al-Quds Day' (Jerusalem Day), to support the Palestinian cause, in Tehran, Iran, Friday, Oct. 20, 2006. Quds, an annual occasion held on the last Friday of Ramadan to commemorate the perceived occupation of Jerusalem by Israel, was an observance suggested by Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979. 1. the Bush Effigy is funny...the 'Down with USA' is not
Saddy, the villager minded/redneck mentality that 'just because the leader is a jackass then we all must be that way' seems to be the flavor of the century....hell, who am I kidding? It's always been that way.

2. Yes, "they" think "we" are behind "him"...
...and that will never change. When the international community sees Bush, they see you. They see me. Not all of them, of course. Just enough of them to keep the flames fanned.

3. They are right to believe so.
US citizens cannot evade responsibility simply by saying "I voted for the other guy." Furthermore, both political parties have favored aggression against Iran.
