HELP MoveON "The answer is all inside your head, she said to me"...

"The answer is easy if you take it logically...

there must be"...

The election of a generation is right around the corner. Folks across the county are helping out with elections for the first time by calling key voters through Call for Change. Will you join them?

Call some key voters today!

MoveOn writes,

When I met Joel last Sunday, he was really nervous. He was in his living room, preparing to make his first ever political phone call at a Call for Change party. It was tough, but he was committed. So committed, in fact, that he was hosting the party. I asked him how he decided to take the plunge.

Joel told me that in 2004 he just never got past his nerves to take concrete action. After we lost, he swore he'd never sit on the sidelines like that again. So last week, he anted up all the way—hosted his own house party, and, after swallowing hard, picked up the phone.

I'm happy to report that it went great. Our online tool makes it easier than you think to call the most critical progressive voters in the most important races and help get them to the polls. This election's too important for any of us to let our nerves get the best of us. This weekend, it's time to take the plunge.

ON EDIT: New volunteers for MoveON should go to THIS link:

This election is shaping up to be the best shot in a generation to break the Republicans' death grip on power.1 Dozens of races no one thought we could win are suddenly on the razor's edge. But the Republicans are drawing down all the rainy-day funds to pour millions of dollars into some of the nastiest personal smear campaigns in the history of politics.2

We can beat that, but only if we throw everything we've got into reaching out directly to the most critical voters—those who share our views but may not get to polls without a friendly nudge or two before Election Day. That's what Call for Change is all about.

Once Joel started dialing at the party, it took a few tries before he reached a live person. It was a Steelers fan outside of Pittsburgh, waiting for the game to begin. They had a brief, cordial conversation—and that's all it took. No problem.

Honestly, not all the calls were fun. A lot of folks weren't home and a few didn't want to talk. But of the dozen or so who picked up, most were quite friendly. And many of the races we're targeting will likely be decided by a few hundred votes—so every call, every conversation, counts. By the end of the party, Joel knew he had done his part.

That's all any of us can do. But to win this election, that's what we've all got to do.

Can you join Call for Change and make some calls from home? You get started now, at:

5. that's great! I love it and I bet Paul and Art would find it good too....
Everywhere I look on TV, I see Republican desperation, so I've created a version for their ex-voters.

50 Ways To Leave Your PARTY

The problem is all inside their head, it seems to me
The answer is easy, when they face life fearlessly
I’d like to help them in their struggle to be free
There must be fifty ways to leave your party

She said Iraq is just the first stop: A prelude
Furthermore, it's not just your party that's lost and getting screwed
But it's all of us, as a few are stealing crude
There must be fifty ways to leave your party
Fifty ways to leave your party

You just take a hard look at Jack

Check out their scam-plan

You don’t need to be coy, Roy
Representitive ROY Blunt's Ties To The Special Interests Including Jack Abramoff!
"Blunt (R-MI) is notorious for his ties to the special interests in Washington. His behavior has proven embarassing to fellow members of the GOP caucus on more than one occasion." http://www.firedupamerica.com/royspecialinterests

Just get yourself free

Hop on the bus, Gus
Busansky on Scandal, Bilirakis on Beach
Phyllis Busansky jumps on the Democratic bandwagon calling for a crackdown on the "Foley Five." She also questions where Gus Bilirakis -- her GOP opponent -- stands on the furor over the groups’ response to Foley’s alleged improprieties:

“Gus Bilirakis has deep and lucrative ties to the ‘Foley Five’ – close to $100,000 to date. Gus Bilirakis needs to break his ties with Speaker Hastert and company. He needs to join me in calling for a full and thorough investigation of the ‘Foley Five’ and in demanding Congressman Reynolds’ resignation.”

You don’t need to discuss much

Just drop off the key, Lee

George Archibald and Paul M. Rodriguez The Washington Times; Final Section: A Page: A1 Friday, June 30, 1989
Republican and conservative political leaders reacted cautiously yesterday to a report in The Washington Times that key Reagan and Bush administration officials are ensnared in a federal probe of homosexual prostitution.

Rep. Barney Frank, Massachusetts Democrat and a self-proclaimed homosexual who several weeks ago threatened to reveal a list of Republican homosexuals in Congress, said he was "not surprised" by the revelations.
"There's no reason for cleaning anybody out (of office because they used homosexual prostitutes)," said Leslie Goodman, a spokeswoman for Republican National Committee Chairman Lee Atwater. http://www.hereinreality.com/callboy.html

And get yourself free

It doesn't grieve me, to see them in such pain
Maybe Clinton oral sex would make them smile again
They appreciated that and now hope we will explain
About the fifty ways

I say why don’t their Reps. sleep with spouses tonight
And I believe in the morning, the news can claim they're doing right
And then maybe, they'll kiss their candidates good-night
Then I realized, most of them are taking flight
There must be fifty ways to leave your party
Fifty ways to leave your party
