(Video) For Supporters of John Edwards (and NC-08 Kissell !)
Edited on Fri Oct-20-06 03:44 PM by Catchawave
My goodness this Edwards feller is Yum-O :applause:

I was so inspired by this video, I sent a small contribution to the Kissell campaign: http://www.larrykissell.com/ One small check for a Virginian, one giant leap for Larry and Dems in North Carolina :bounce:

NC-08 Edwards stumps for Kissell

Of course it's no secret that I've been an Edwards supporter since 2003, but what I want DUers to do is pay attention to your 2008 Presidential favorite and who they've been 2006 stumping for. Send "that" candidate a small donation. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

Go Grassrooters :patriot:

9. That Certainly WAS Yummers!! I Became A Huge Edwards Fan
back in 2004. I went to 2 of his Rallies and I don't care WHAT anyone here says about how he puts them to sleep, or how he has no experience, I'll take ONE Edwards for Two Hillary's any day!

I'm an admitted Liberal, a white female who was born in PA and an Army brat who moved around a little before I left my father's home and got married. Still I actually lived MOST of my adult life in the South, not so much by choice but because of circumstance. Because of so much that has happened these past 6 years I freely admit that I view many things "southern" in a negative light!

John Edwards IS NOT one of them, and I remain one of his BIGGEST supporters. If you ever get a chance it will make you feel good having gone to a rally that he is part of. I KNOW he's probably more moderate than I, but from what I've seen of him I find my mind wandering back to another person who was instrumental in my political education. Robert Kennedy. I have NEVER forgotten exactly what I was doing when he got shot and then my heartbreak and depression after his death. John Kennedy left his mark on America, but it was Robert Kennedy who I saw as someone who really wanted to help those less fortunate. So too with John Edwards. He could have simply gone back after 2004 and set around til 2008, but instead he went right out and got involved with helping those less fortunate.

And no, I don't have "stars" in my eyes, I've grown out of that stage in my life, I simply have a feeling that he believes in what he is doing and I have the utmost respect for his wife Elizabeth too. Having watched her throughout the last campaign I was surprised at how very intelligent she is and how well she handles herself. America, we could do much worse!

And we HAVE!!

Go, Johnny, Go!! And Hats Off To Larry!! My husband's name is Larry too!

11. There is one important thing at a political rally ...
... which is to excite the people at the rally and to ..

(oops)

TWO, there are TWO important things at a political rally.

(1) To excite the people at the rally and
(2) to give them a story they can tell their friends and neighbors who may be undecided, whether about supporting the candidate or even about voting ... and given the terrible news in Washington, its easy to get discouraged about sending someone else into that cesspool.

After all, most people at a rally are there to show their support, which means they already support you, and for most of them, if they are going to bother to do that, they are going to be voting.

At one time, with less media, a lot of people at a rally where there for a look see, and there is still a bit of that, but the main impact of a good rally in terms of swaying the election is the ripples spreading out amongst the grass roots.

And that is what John Edwards is doing so effectively here, giving a positive narrative for people to pass one ... Kissell is genuinely representative of the district, and their incumbent congressmen has become entrenched in Washington ways ... a main policy point difference between Kissel and the incumbent ... Kissell opposes pro-corporate unbalanced trade deals like CAFTA, which the incumbent voted for against the economic interests of his district ... and finally, the core critique of the Republican foreign policy, which is the complete wasting of the moral high ground in the struggle against terrorism that the US occupied after 9-11.

14. Murky Buckets, as a friend in OZ used to say ...
but as you can see that is my FOURTH whole post, so this makes FIVE. While you have only ... umm, 1000+. Huh, that kind of blows that "but as you can see" out of the water.

I'll just drop back to Merci Beaucoup (the friend in OZ didn't actually speak any French, but my wife does, and if I left it at Murky Buckets, she'd have my head).
