Political Compass - where do you land?
I'm about -7 authoritarian and -5 economic.
Right near Ghandi, I'm proud to say!
I love this site! Really re-organizes streams of political thought beyond right/left.

6. I had no idea I was such a lefty
I thought I was a little more moderate, but I seem to be dangerously close to Stalin. I don't know if I buy this.

Economic Left/Right: -8.63

7. Close to stalin - Stalin is +10 Authoritarian and -10 economic
on the Authoritarian scale you're the exact opposite, which means you believe in voluntary economic collectivism over state imposed economic collectivism, ala USSR, which is destined to fail.

11. you're right, I think it depends on how many times you pick Strongly
but the general quadrant is accurate.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that all Duers, heck, most Americans, are in the libertarian leftist category.

19. Thanks!!!
I think what put me up higher was I do law the rule of law and expect people to be law-abiding as I am. I am extremely torn on the death penalty and will probably always wrestle with that. But as far as personal freedoms? I am more like Wavy Gravy!!! heheheee :grouphug:

25. Me, too, Mr. TNut!
It's nice to be somewhere where you learn and meet such nice people! Especially people who have similar opinions.
I love this place because of people like you. As a Dem, if we ever get a real honest, rational, person with values, morality, integrity, (and now intelligence must be considered) I will be hopeful they are as smart as Kerry and as out of sight as Feingold. That's a good thing.

Biden? Clinton? Richardson? Obama? (he was really cute/smart tonight). Feingold has never missed a shot imo. He speaks for me also; all these horrible years, but I have some favorites that have never given up.
