:patriot::kick::patriot::kick::patriot::kick:

This is my reply to the despicable fear-mongering ad released by the cowardly Republicans who are so desperate to win that there is no sewer so filthy and no blow too low for them to take advantage of.

I'm a pretty good writer but not the best video editor. If anyone else wants to take a crack at it , you can get the RNC's slime ball ad at:

Of course wear a hazmat suit while handling it.

4. This speech (1933) came well before Manzanar (1942)

And:

1) World War II was far more serious than the nonsense that is going on now. Remember we WERE NOT a nuclear superpower then, nor a conventional superpower. Today we are far and away the most powerful nation on earth.

2) War was actually DECLARED in World War II according to the Constitutional requirement. It has NOT been declared since then, certainly not while Bush has been President.

3) The usurpations of rights during WWII, including Manzanar, were bad but generally not as bad as today - I can think of no instance where America kidnapped and tortured people during WWII - indeed that was how the enemy acted then. Nor were Civil Liberties sacrificed wholesale at the alter of fear.

4) Manzanar has since been recognized as a blight upon the national honor and reparations and an apology were offered. Expect no such similar reparation or apology from "King George" and his friends who not only don't know that they are wrong - they don't even suspect that they are in the wrong. Their self assured arrogance is one of the chief hallmarks of insane dictatorships - from Caesar to Napoleon, to Hitler, to Stalin, to the Cultural Revolution, to Kim Jung Il all dictators have been 200% convinced that they were right.
