Question on voting strategy...early or on 11/7/2006? |
|
:hi: Last night I received a GOTV call, and after assuring the nice guy on the phone that "Damn straight, Tester has my vote!", he asked if I wanted to vote early. I've seen threads about it here, and asked if that was like absentee ballot and he said yes. He said he'd send me an application for an early ballot. "Wait! What if I change my mind and decide NOT to vote early and go to the polls instead? Will my vote still be counted?" Yes...seems I can do either/or.
Now, here's the question. We don't have touchscreens here, on our last election, we were still voting by paper fill-in-the-bubble type ballot.
Which is the best strategy, voting early, or showing up at the polls? Is there a difference? :patriot:

Makes the line shorter on election day so people won't get as discouraged at the size of the line. I might go the other way if I ever find myself in a heavy Republican district.

3. Montana has a pretty good system |
|
Absentee votes aren't always counted and can be lost. Montana's system is pretty good and the Repub Secretary of State isn't a political flunky. Go ahead and vote on election day.

4. I'm not an election admin or anything, but my understanding is that |

sometimes absentee ballots aren't counted at all, if the election isn't "close enough to matter". Anyone have any insight into this?
