GOP Urges Democrats to Boycott Murtha Appearance
The chairman of the Ohio County Republican Party wants Gov. Joe Manchin and other state Democrats to boycott a Jefferson Jackson dinner featuring keynote speaker Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa.

Marty Wright, who heads the county GOP, believes Manchin and other West Virginia Democrats should not associate themselves with Murtha, whom he calls "a San Francisco liberal" and says is included on an organization's list of most corrupt members of Congress....

Other guests will include U.S. Sens. Robert C. Byrd and Jay Rockefeller, Congressman Alan Mollohan and state Democratic Party Chairman Nick Casey....

"Of everything we need, in terms of this state, John Murtha stands for the opposite," Wright said. "Whether you're Republican or Democrat, John Murtha's values are about bigger government. He's a mouthpiece for Nancy Pelosi and everything she preaches is truly California liberalism.....I'd like for the governor to put the goodwill of the state above politics right now," he said....

That'd be THIS John Murtha:

"Murtha joined the Marines in 1952 and later became a drill instructor at Parris Island. In Vietnam, he earned the Bronze Star with valor and two Purple Hearts."

Why do Republicans hate our military heroes?

Take a look at Rove, and then take a look in the mirror, Marty Wright.

12. It works too--for the IQ challenged
I was watching a call-in show on CSpan and a woman, who probably would not recognize Pelosi, talked about how Pelosi "scared her."

The BS works on some. You would think, however, after so many years of confirmed lies, even the IQ challenged would think twice.

10. What a bunch of asswipes.
I thought they supported the troops.....and the Vets. Another lie they are exposing on themselves.

That's pretty bad when they have to stoop so low as to trash someone who served his country for 37 years. Look how they trashed Max Cleland (not sure of sp) who lost THREE LIMBS fighting for THEIR freedom. Yeah.......the phony assholes sure do "support the troops" don't they? How many of THOSE bastards served? God,they make me so angry... :argh:

18. Why on EARTH...
do Republicans seem to think that they have a right to tell the opposition party what to do and whom to support?

Do the Democrats tell the Republicans to boycott Cheney? Actually, that might be a good idea!
