Iraq strategy checked every day; rebuffs attack videos

Washington- Addressing a week-long spike in violence and US deaths in Iraq, US President George W Bush Saturday said US military tactics in Iraq are fluid and warned the American public that it is being targetted by a vicious terrorist media campaign before US mid- term elections. Bush's Republican Party is fighting to hold on to its majority in both houses of Congress, with the war in Iraq and a series of ethics scandals among Republican lawmakers threatening to erode voter support. The elections are November 7.

In his weekly radio address, Bush said his commanders on the ground "are constantly adjusting their approach to stay ahead of the enemy, particularly in Baghdad."
