14. Saying "America showed stupidity", though, makes the poll ...
... less biased (if an Internet poll can ever be considered unbiased), since the poll question doesn't lay the blame at Bush's feet -- thought that's the obvious correlation.

6. Not Stupidity
It is willful, pre-meditated corruption and war profiteering. That is how history will remember this war. As a war for PROFIT.

7. The words 'pre-medited' and 'profiteering' never ring any bell
to the tens of millions of 'apoliticals' but the word "stupidity" sure does...

Republicans show "Stupidity" in Iraq:
3,000 Troops Dead & Half-a-Trillion wasted
- US Diplomat...

8. The handling is not the issue. The issue is that it was an ILLEGAL
invasion. The ISSUE is that Bush LIED to Congress to get us there...an impeachable offense.

10. The word "stupidity" is mild. "Madness" fits a little better.
Still 86% Yes, 14% No

Total: 35472 votes

Re: "U.S. official: History may show U.S. 'stupidity' on Iraq" on CNN.com (US)

The correct label is 'criminality' not 'stupidity.'

And I am not talking criminal negligence.

As they look for cover in their fascist fantasies (#1 being the fig leaf of Bush as unitary authoritarian executive) their words and actions make it crystal clear that they do not expect those fantasies to hold. In his memo, Alberto Mora (outgoing general counsel of the United States Navy) provides an excellent factual summary of the timeline and players in the conspiracy to commit War Crimes.

Report on Mora's memo here: http://www.newyorker.com/printables/fact/060227fa_fact
