Is Emanuel smarter than Rove |
|
I think so. If we win he will be recognized as one of the best strategists along with Rove and Atwater. Now we will have one we can love, not hate. Read about his exploits here http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/21/AR2006102101049_pf.html

1. I disagree, a politician of that sort is reprehensible |
|
Irregardless of which party they happen to belong to. Democracy is not served by that type of individual.

2. A garden slug is smarter than Rove. |
|
Oh... wait...
I forgot...
Rove *is* a garden slug. My bad. I take it back.

It hasn't been about rove being smart. It is about the fact that no one could come close to having such an evil, shit spewing, dirty tricks mind. I suppose one person like that comes along in a while and people just can't believe that anyone could be as reprehensible as he is.

4. I will go on record now, before any election. |
|
Emmanuel is mean and slick enough almost to be a publiclown. I don't like him and I think he's a dumbass bully with no speaking skills at all, no real humanity and having the dlc as his one claim to fame.
Rove is not particularly smart, just a mean and vicious one trick pony. He wins by hurting those he sees as enemies, even those not sufficiently deferential. He lies, cheats and shovels shit in such a nasty fashion that his opponents are crippled with disbelief.

7. Rove would fail in any other profession. |
|
Only in politics can somebody make a lifelong career out of being really really good at being a scumbag.

6. Dean & DFA deserve some credit, too |
|
and WesPac, and Feingold's Progressive Patriots.
Moreso than the DCCC, IMHO.

9. Exactly. Howard Dean's 50-state strategy set the table. |

If Rahm had been elected head of the DNC, he wouldn't have have put in the groundwork he's reaping the benefits of now.

8. I don't think Rove is smart! He's cunning, and can almost |
|
instantly find his opponents vulnerable spots, and he's not hesitantabouthitting HARD....even if his tactics are vile, mean, nasty, and LIES! Actually THAT'S where all the Dems have failed. None of them are willing to really smack down their opponents and then, when criticized, stand up and say "Yea I called Shrub HITLER, and I'll resay it. Here's a comparrison...you decide!"
The only Dem I've heard consistently stick by his criticisms has beenn Dean, and Icommend him for doing so!

11. Agreed. It's his nerve rather than his intellect. |
|
He would've taught Lee Atwater a few things on how to steal an election.
