Newshounds: General Wesley Clark Flattens Culture Warrior O'Reilly
I must say that O'Lielly is really hard to watch....What a pontificating arrogant asshole! Yet, Wes handles him calmly and with class time and time again. Last night was no different. O'Lielly went on the attack against the "bad guy", "far-left bombthrower" George Soros. Wes defended him nicely and O'Lielly says he'll have Clark back to discuss Soros next week...We'll see....

Newshounds reports it like this:

General Wesley Clark Flattens Culture Warrior O'Reilly

Bill O'Reilly didn't know what hit him tonight when he pushed General Wesley Clark a bit too far. During a discussion about Iraq, O'Reilly challenged Clark about a donation from "bomb thrower" George Soros and Clark was not amused demonstrating for "culture warrior" O'Reilly the dignified strength of a true warrior.

(snip)

Clark's conviction and obvious diplomatic expertise made O'Reilly look like a foolish amateur. O'Reilly came out with a ridiculous comment. " I'm not opposed to chatting."

It was now time for BOR to bring the General down a peg so he tried to intimidate him with an accusation about Soros donating to his organization as if Clark should be ashamed of it. At that moment Wesley Clark towered over O'Reilly like a massive oak tree proudly acknowledging that he accepted money from " a responsible financier" adding that Soros was a guy who had done a lot for this world. O'Reilly, shocked, asked Clark if he had read what he had written about Soros. Clark acknowledged that he had read the book but said nothing more about it suggesting that he wasn't impressed but was ready to elaborate on his respect for George Soros. O'Reilly was silenced and his over expanded ego flattened.

Raw Story reports it like this (and has video up):

O'Reilly spars with potential '08 candidate Wesley Clark

Bill O'Reilly hosted potential '08 presidential candidate Wesley Clark on The O'Reilly Factor Tuesday evening.

Repeatedly raising his voice and talking over the former NATO Supreme Allied Commander of Europe, O'Reilly dismissed Clark's contention that talking with America's adversaries, especially Iran, was preferential to military action.

"Iran wants to cause trouble for the USA, it wants to weaken us, it's part of the worldwide jihad, it wants to kill every Jew on the planet... I don't have any confidence that they're going to do anything," said O'Reilly, who continued, "I'm not opposed to chatting, I just don't know if it's going to do any good." Clark responded firmly, "I call it diplomacy, not chatting."

O'Reilly and Clark also got into a exchange about the role of George Soros in the election; Clark is allied with Soros, while O'Reilly called him a "far-left bomb thrower" and "a bad guy."

3. The General controlled the interview brilliantly.
I've never seen O'Liar handled so well, but then I don't watch him very often.

2. I Saw That - Clark Seemed To Be Holding In A Laugh
While I'm sure Clark was not amused, it was obvious who the statesman in this interview was, and it sure as hell wasn't o'LIElly.

4. Pssst Billy
As NATO Supreme Allied Commander, General Clark ate nonentities like you for breakfast. You were roadkill going in.

6. Watching the General's expression
General Clark makes it very difficult to "read" his true thoughts. Except of course, Wes Clark treats O'R like someone talking to a hopeless drunk.

7. WOW. That's first O'Reilly clip
I've seen in some time. He's gotten so shrill he's a caricature of himself. His voice always sounds like it's on the verge of cracking.

Clark just smiled while billy frothed. I love it.

9. Why does O'Falafel keep saying "still moving his lips!"
Makes no sense when Clark objected to the term "conversation" or "chat" for "diplomacy". Poor guy knew he was in WAY over his head - you could tell.

10. O'Lielly is a GOP retard far as I'm concerned! Amazed that so many watch that show!
So Clark was accused of "moving" his lips, hey? Isn't that why O'Lielly invited him on the show? Must be that O'Lielly is beyond desperation! Such an asshole.

As far as Wes Clark is concerned; he has such dignity and poise--!

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: I call it diplomacy, not chatting, Bill. Diplomacy.

Bill O'Reilly: Okay, you can call it whatever you want, General - you're still moving your lips. Um now, I have to ask you this question because it looks like your political group, WesPAC, accepted $75,000 from far-left bomb-thrower George Soros. You've got to be careful here, this is a bad guy.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: We accepted money from a very responsible financier because he wants to see Democrats in office and that's what I've been working on.

Bill O'Reilly: Are you talking about Soros?

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: You're darn right I'm talking about Soros. Have you read his books?

Bill O'Reilly: You like this guy?

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: Have you read his books?

Bill O'Reilly: Have you read my book?

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: I've read your book.

Bill O'Reilly: Have you read my book?

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: Have you read his book?

Bill O'Reilly: I have read portions of it.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: You're not answering my question.

Bill O'Reilly: I've read parts of it.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: Well, you ought to read it. He's a guy who's pretty experienced. He's called a lot of things right and he's done a lot for the world in Eastern Europe and so forth.

Bill O'Reilly: He doesn't want a war on terror, General.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: Oh, he does. He wants to win the war on terror.

Bill O'Reilly: No he doesn't.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: But let me tell you something, Bill. If we want to win this war, we've got to win it on several different levels and the military is the last, last, last resort. You've got to win the battle of ideas.

Bill O'Reilly: I understand that. I want to bring you back. I want to bring you back in the next week or so because Soros wants open borders, a one world government, legalized narcotics, and I don't think you want any of that. So we'll bring the General back and talk to him about Soros.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: Well, let's talk about it all.

Bill O'Reilly: We will. It'll be like a little negotiation, you know.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: We'll call it diplomacy.

Bill O'Reilly: Alright. Still moving your lips.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: You're darn right.

I see Lips moving, and they ain't Wes'
Wes is about to crack up in the dunce's face though!

15. Anybody with lots of money, who wants to give it to Democrats =
"Bad Guy" in O'Loofah's world. The only "good" Democrat is a penurious and powerless one. Yeah, that's the way O'Loofah would like it.

11. I think
he was ridiculing Clarks use of big words like "diplomacy". 4 syllables way too much for Bills audience.

Here's Crooks and Liars write up....They also have the video up....

Wesley Clark and Billy O
By: John Amato

Joe sent in this video debate between O'Reilly and Clark over the Iraq war as I was about to make the clip. O"Reilly got very angry at Wesley last night because he thinks he's the expert on everything. He's the Culture Warrior! He forgot that Clark was the NATO Supreme Commander at one time and might know a thing or two…

O'Reilly: I'm not opposed to chatting. I just don't know if it's going to do any good.

Clark: I call it diplomacy, Bill. not chatting. Diplomacy.

O'Reilly: OK, you can call it whatever you want, General–you're still moving your lips…

Guess what Billy saved for the end of the segment.–Here's a hint—He's the boogeyman—-George Soros. Clark told Billy that George Soros is a good man which almost made O'Reilly's head explode…
