If the polls stay true(and that's a big "if"), the Democrats will gain at LEAST five seats in the US Senate. I think it is only a matter of chance for them to prevail in at least 3 states that are virtually tied: Virginia, Tennessee and Missouri(where McCaskill has mostly been leading until recently). If it is true there will be a Democratic wave this year, the results of the election in those 3 states will give a reflection as to the size of that wave.
